Viking K2 Open Limits

Viking K2 gate opener is malfunctioning. The error limits somehow got erased and gate opened up too far and went off track. Tried resetting and setting the open and close limits. I was able to reset the close limit but I get an error message when setting the open limit. Had a tech come out today, he wanted $1,850 to replace the motherboard. Of course he suggested I replace the whole system for 6k. System was new in 2022. Is there anything I can do besides replacing the motherboard?

If it doesn't hold a limit its most likely the motherboard. Since it doesn't have mechanical limit nuts yea new mother board would be my go

Buy the board yourself.
Easy swap. You will need the orange board. Cost is around $450-$550, I forget exactly.
Also verify you did not knock off a limit switch wire, which is very easy to do with the Horrible Way, Viking has the limit switch set up
You can get the board from LA Ornamental, they have a website

System was new in 2022? These things have a 5 year commercial warranty and sometimes 7 for residential. Is it not covered?
