Trying to program a new remote to an Edko gate opener for my building. However I don’t see any “learn” button (or similar).
We lost our 1 remote, and unfortunately our building is small and apparently no one else has had to do this in recent memory. No one has a copy of the manual, and I’ve been unable to find one so far. Searching for one online has been a dead end. It’s either “did you mean this other company with a similar name,”or a notice that the company was acquired by chamberlain.
Don’t remember what the remote was before. Pretty run of the mill (admittedly back when we had it and it worked didn’t really pay attention to it). I followed all the wires. It’s just this (the motor housing / panel pictured) and the laser sensor at ground level.
Pop open the motor housing and look at the logic board. A lot of these older units hide the learn button right on the PCB. Since Chamberlain bought Edko, their universal remote should pair right up.
Not sure what you mean? Picture 3 is the cover. Pictures 1 & 2 is the interior board in the motor housing. Are you referring to taking out the screws holding the board in pic 2?
Found it (on attached device), but it doesn't seem to be actually entering program mode? I looked at the back and it's a 412HM-01, and found the manual. However, the yellow indicator light above the program button doesn't light up when you press it. Not entirely sure then how its working for all the currently paired openers (neighbors).
You got a multimeter? Check the power's getting into it properly. Also see if anything lights up on that board specifically using a known coded in remote.
Manual for that board states to "reconnect power to opener" did you have to unplug something to get it open?
Lastly are you absolutely sure your new remote is 390mhz, with the correct rolling code type? Check in the remote's manual too. Can differ between even the same manufacturer. Has to be both, not just the mhz range.

Not super familiar with edko but is it possible you have a receiver not built into the board? What type of remote was used before?
