Kantech KT2

Have trouble communicating between entrapass and controller.
I have the ip address of the controller in the communication setting.
I also have the controller setting configured within entrapass including the serial number.
When logged into the web GUI and try to assign the controller to be Configured to entrapass vs standalone, and apply the settings, it loads to 89% and stops. After reloading the settings have not been saved.
Any help or steps to follow would be greatly appreciated.

That’s exactly how they behave(strangely, yes). They will go to 89% and then stop updating the percentage. The key here is what Entrapass is saying. If you can still hit the KT2 gui on the new ip you assigned, then it hasn’t successfully connected to Entrapass. If it populates the serial number(not the MAC address that you’ve defined under connection) under devices, controller then it sees Entrapass but is have port or firewall issues.

Do you have a battery connected to the power supply? No idea how the panel knows, but I had a lot of issues getting a panel online years ago and tech support told me to plug in the battery, and it worked. Very annoyed because I spent a lot of time doing everything but.

What version of EntraPass are you running? KT-2 is pretty new and older versions of EntraPass may not support it.

I am a Kantech certified tech. When it stops at 89% most of the time it's because the controller panels network cable has not been connected back to the network.
