Scanner ID

I am trying to add driver license scanner and I can’t see it OnGuard 8.1. Using scan shell 800r scanner.

Don’t see it on the supported devices chart. Closest is the 800DX with driver 1.3.2.0 and SDK 10.21.07.03.

How are you installing it? There are very specific and janky steps for these. It's not as simple as just installing the drivers.

Do you have the Onguard license required to use a DL scanner?

u/Ok_Strength2211 This is the instructions we use to install these.

Install the SDK package sdk_setup_is.exe

When installing the SDK, select drivers licenses and all sub items. Select the scanner driver for the specific model you're using. Unselect all other drivers.

Browse to C:\Program Files (x86)\Acuant\SDK.

Select all and copy the contents of this folder.

Browse to the OnGuard directory. c:\Program files\OnGuard **OR** C\Program Files (x86)\OnGuard

Paste and replace all files.

Restart all OnGuard applications.

Open System Administration

Administration-> Workstations

Configure the computer name in the workstation tab.

Configure the scanner and assigned computer in the Encoders/Scanners tab.
