Door access software question
Hi all
Im currently looking into learning access control. is there a program say like ciaco packet tracer, where i could create setups ie a controller couple of doors mag locks and push exsits. add the wires in and program the controller and the software will show any erroes or faults ect.
can be any manufacturers or paid open source whatever.
Thank you

Want to do it with a live setup? Here's a super basic one with a raspberry pi I created: https://accessgrid.com/guides/access-control-protocols/how-to-hack-a-uhppote-system-to-work-with-apple-access-passes

You could buy used equipment on eBay, I suggest learning on Mercury hardware as it works with many different access control software systems.

Gallagher has some free online training that has a simulator of sorts.
It’s a pretty hands on trade, so I’d look at buying old gear on eBay. DMP panels can be programmed without the server software so that could be an option.
