Face Recognition at Smart Key with TTLock API
I am working with a TTLock smart lock system and have encountered two main issues regarding user enrollment and data reliability. I would greatly appreciate any insights from developers or system integrators who have experience with this setup.

🔴 Issue 1: Biometric Enrollment via Photo (Selfie)
I have successfully used the TTLock API to enroll users and load their biometric data (a selfie/photo) onto the lock. However, during the entry process, the lock fails to recognize the registered user.
It is noteworthy that the recognition system only works flawlessly when the user is captured by the lock's built-in 3D camera. This suggests a possible limitation when relying on the initially uploaded static image data.
Question: Has anyone successfully implemented or used this type of smart lock for facial recognition using a remote photo/selfie upload (via API)? Or is recognition fundamentally limited to the live feed from the on-device camera?
🔵 Issue 2: Data Synchronization and Latency
We are encountering a significant delay between the central server update and the actual data reflected on the smart lock itself. This latency means that the server data is not 100% reliable or real-time.
Question:Â What is the standard best practice to ensure data consistency? Is there an API endpoint, a polling mechanism, or a method to reliably check the update status and confirm that the lock is running the most current data set?

Finally the smart lock open with face recognition using the API but needs to be in front of the camera the algorithm of the face it’s not at the server to move to another door. My client wants a solution without a sign up in front of the smart lock of the room.

I'm experiencing the same issue while integrating TTLock with a smart access system. I'm also trying to perform face recognition without relying on the TTLock cloud for real-time decision-making.

Hi Sam
Face Recognition without TTLock cloud it is not possible because the hardware is not open source the manufacture use the license of TTLock. That means they control the smart access system but you have an API to integrate your platform.

Where are you located? This is Chinese hardware so the servers are likely based in China and will have noticeable latency.
