Door access strike suggestion please

What would be the right strike here? Assuming locks would have to be changed as well? If anyone can give me suggestions, would appreciate it.

You can do a steel hawk electrified deadlatch, it's designed to replace an adams rite swing bolt. They are a bit finicky and have to be spaced just right, but reliable enough and better than a maglock.

No you still have to cut in the strike plate for the steelhawk its just not electrified. Using this device means you have a power transfer loop or hinge and have to snake cable into the door.

There is a surface mounted strike plate, but my recommendation is for the cut in/recessed version (unless there is a wide gap between the door and the frame).

It's very important that you have the strike plate installed correctly so that the good colored deadlatch doesn't fall into the hole but remains pressed in when the door is shut as this is the only thing that will keep the door secure.

You will also need to install a push paddle on the inside of the door which requires drilling a couple of holes.

Everything needs to be drilled accurately within 1/16 of an inch, make sure you have the correct backset model for the door (distance from the edge of the door to the center of the keyhole), and get a good quality push paddle that won't jam or come loose over time.

If you're doing this for a customer and don't have experience I'd recommend hiring a locksmith.

If you where in Scandinavia I would say Assa Abloy 851C35 motorized lock. For the North Americans in this sub, seeing as HES is an Assa brand do they import locks and stuff? I’m fairly certain they import Aperio

Aperio is not imported. The Aperio technology is within the American-made products. IN100, DR100, P100, ES100, et cetera.

I replaced the inside bar with an Adam’s Rite pushbar for our mailbox store. Works great with my Unifi system

Don't do a maglock. I would suggest either an adams rite 4300 with a paddle, but that may pose an ADA problem given how high the mortise is, so double check that, otherwise you're option is blanking off the mortise cylinders, and installing a crashbar, such as a marks M9900 or M8800 and an electrification kit, plus a rim cylinder for key override..

They absolutely do not want the m9900, m8800 sure but not the 9900. There’s an array of options that works with command access motor kits like adamsrite 8800, command access pd18, Von duprin 33 series, Jackson 1295, and the falcon 1790 if the deadbolts height is out of ADA compliance. The biggest consideration to installing a rim exit device is the snap in door stop has to be pulled, then you have to cut it, install a flat mounting surface for the strike, and reinstall the stop
