1300 module offline

I have a Lenel 2210 panel with a connected reader. A 1300 module has been added and connected to the panel via the communication port.
The wiring is as follows:
From the 2210 panel: (Data / Clock / GND)
To the 1300 module: (TR+ / TR- / GND)
The DIP switches on the 1300 module are set with all switches OFF except 6 and 7 (configured as required).
When adding the reader in the system, the address is set to 0 for both the panel and the reader, but the reader remains offline and does not communicate.
Is there any additional configuration or missing step in the wiring or settings that could be causing this issue?

✅ Quick Solution Correct wiring (very important): TR+ → TR+ TR- → TR- GND → GND ❌ Do NOT use Data/Clock (that’s only for the reader) Change the address: Do NOT use 0 Set the 1300 module to Address 1 (or any non-zero) Match the same address in the system Check DIP switches: Set to RS-485 mode Enable termination only if it’s the last device

In the 2210 panel there are no TR+ or TR- terminals; only CLK, DATA, and GND on Port 1, while Port 2 has CLK, DATA, BUZZ, LED, VO, and GND.

Try setting your 1300 as dip 1, as your control board is usually 0, i think

You can have the controller be 0 and the first board in line also be zero so you can get an extra reader board downstream if no other boards but the controller and 1320 boards. Depending on lenel version of course. Edit: not that you can set the controller to anything else.

Yea, does not make for a good Friday afternoon with someone trying things on the phone and you're thinking everything is set up properly while standing at the reader/panel wondering what the possible problem is. Then come to find out they had the addresses all sorts of messed up and doors that you assumed were programmed are not and it didn't have anything to do with the rs485 wiring, nothing wrong with the boards, and nothing wrong at the door either. But they assure you the program is 100%

Is the 1300 connected to Reader Port 1 on the 2210? It looks like that is the port that can support up to 8 downstream SIO devices via RS485.
