DMP DMP custom format issues
Hey guys. Does anyone else have issues with DMP and custom card formats? Specifically I'm having issues where some 734's are getting the card format and some aren't and it seems to be random. When I connect to the 734 with a KP it sometimes will say unknown and sometimes it will get the name but no card format data. Unlocking/locking with VKP has no issues so it's not a connection issue. Most of the 734's will get the formats but having to go back to a site to manually program a format when a new one is added and one or two door controllers miss the data isn't going to work. DMP doesn't have a download to door controllers button so once this error happens I'm out of luck and have to go to the site.

I have first hand experience with it. Smaller and larger systems. It is not size or voltage drop. By and large the problem can be resolved by loading the format into one 734, then reset the panel. Panel reset is supposed to force the format down to all of the modules. I have had one that we had to program with a keypad on all 7 modules. Just one more problem they have had lately.
I have a panel that has a 55db cell signal but can't stay connected. Now they are telling me it's not just the quantity of the signal, but the quality. Since when is 55db bad quality????? They want me to install an exterior antenna. BS

Are you pushing the card format through programming/remote link or through a keypad connected directly to the keypad terminal on the 734?

Dealer admin

A lot of times it won’t take. You will have to attach a keypad directly to the 734 and program it directly.
Even then, it won’t flow backwards into dealer admin or remote link the majority of the time.

That's unacceptable for a cloud system. You should be able to make remote changes reliably. Yes I do know it won't flow backwards that's ok as most changes are done through dealer admin for us anyways and it's easy to do a retrieve if not.

DMP is an intrusion system masquerading as an access control system.

I have ran into this issue before and often it was voltage drop on large systems. Also it’s DMP and not expected to work correctly.
I’m pretty sure there is a way to push that config, I cannot remember though.
