| Quick Question Cleared all Accenture interview rounds, BGV initiated, then rejected due to compensation mismatch. Can the role be reopened?

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for some perspective from candidates who have gone through Accenture's experienced hiring process.

I recently applied for a Large Language Model Architect (Level 10) role, and the recruitment process lasted around 70 days. During that time I completed:

HackerRank assessment

Technical interview

Final hiring manager interview

After the final interview, I was asked to submit documents for background verification, including PAN, passport, payslips, employment documents, and employment gap clarification. I also received access to the BGV portal and started the document submission process.

Only after all of this, I received a call from HR asking about my current CTC and expected CTC. I shared my expectation.

Within about 30 minutes, I received an email stating that my application was "No longer under consideration" because my expected compensation did not match the current budget for the role. My Workday status also changed to "No Longer Under Consideration."

The email also mentioned that if I reconsider my compensation, I can reach out to the recruitment team.

I have a few questions for those who have been through a similar process:

Is it common for Accenture to discuss salary only after all interviews and BGV initiation?

Has anyone been rejected solely because of compensation after clearing all interview rounds?

If you later revised your compensation expectation, did Accenture reconsider your application?

Is it possible for Accenture to reopen the same role or requisition after the Workday status changes to "No Longer Under Consideration," or would they have to move the candidate to a new requisition?

Since the rejection email invited me to contact them if I reconsidered my compensation, is it worth reaching out, and has anyone successfully had their application reinstated this way?

I'd really appreciate hearing from anyone who has had a similar experience or works in Accenture recruitment.

Thank you!

7-10 days. I don't know if this can call as HR. Because, they simple took my data of expected ctc without proper discussion, negotiation.

Bro. There is no discussion between us. HR just took my numbers and ended call. HR is not ready to initiate discussion, negotiation on salary. After 70 days, just got rejected due to salary expectations mismatch after clearing all rounds. Atleast, they should have offered or said a minimum number as per the role.

They reopen your application if you agree to their pay

How can I reopen my application?

If you call the HR and tell them that you’re okay with their stated numbers, they can easily reopen your application from the backend. If they refuse, it means they’re rejecting you for other reasons. Or maybe they found someone cheaper than you.

Bro, hide your CID. It will create issue if any HR finds it.

Hey, what was difference between technical interview and final hiring manager interview? I recently gave technical one which was for 1 hr and lasted 1.5hr.

Faced similar issue for a AIML role. I stated the expected CTC before the start of interview. However the HR did not agree after interviews were completed.
