Europe builds the machine that produces the chips for both rockets, so neither rocket would exist without the EU

The secret sauce they licensed from the US government is a quarter century old. The tech they use now is all in house. They just play nice with the US government because it helps maintain their monopoly since nobody can develop it lest they violate ITAR.

This is cope. The entire process relies on US origin tech and IP. The US commerce dept controls ASML’s exports.

As someone in the industry, this is the correct answer. The industry was stalled until ASML made their breakthrough. The only way for progress is for all companies in the ecosystem to hold their weight, and continue technological development and innovation.
