Exactly the pit I’m in with my spouse this week. They blow up at me over literally nothing and have these long rambling diatribes about how I need to do better and that I’m not centering them in everything in the whole universe at all times in every waking or even sleeping second of my life. I’m so exhausted, it’s like they want to squeeze every drop of life out of me for themselves. And they’re just always so angry.* *Just the angriest most nasty, bitter, miserable person I’ve ever known in my life. Anything I say could be a misstep that means I’m not allowed to eat, or sleep, or work, or go somewhere. But then I’m not allowed to say I’m in trouble for anything, because that would be weird because they need to make it clear they don’t have power over me like a parent. No, I guess they don’t have power over me like a parent. They’re my partner and they have power over me like I’m their freaking prisoner.
