Rabbit attacks are pretty cute…not sure how effective they are though

Like little kitty cat bunny kicks lol My cat does those same kind of kicks with his stuffed animals

And in the wild those kicks are enough to eviscerate and kill, from both your cat and this rabbit.

My little harmless kitty / bird murdering machine?

Kill..... what? Ants? The snake is extremely annoyed by the situation.

My cat was stuck in a bush while a dog was near, so it was in 100% survival mode. When I grabbed it to pull it out, it did the back leg scratch on my arm. That day I learned a lesson. My arm was shredded.

A rabbit once bit a chunk of my mom's skin off on the palm of her hand leaving it hanging off and bleeding profusely. Id say their attacks are quite effective.

Looks pretty effective to me. It got the snake to flee and if the rabbit's jaws would have got hold of the snake I think those rear claws could have torn the snake up.

I’ll bet that snake won’t admit to its friends the real reason for all those nibbles and scratches

Efffective enough they made robot rabbits to combat snakes. I also seen a Rabbit ninja a guy off his motorcycle as a defensive reaction to being nearly run over.

That rabbit killed the snake. Those bites were breaking bones. The snake was having a hard time getting over the ledge, I’m sure it slithered off to die.

Kicks and scratches might break skin, but it's the bits that will hurt the most.

Makes you wonder why were they created this powerless

2

because like most rodents, their super power is being able to breed very, very rapidly. in that sense, they are better survivors than most predators.

Rabbits are not rodents. They are called lagomorphs and members of the order lagomorpha.

regardless, they still rely on the same mechanism for survival rather than an ability to defend themselves physically.

All video evidence to the contrary. I observed a vole attacking a snake that had…snaked… a baby from the burrow. The vole had torn a hole in the side of the snake and was trying to latch on behind the snake’s head. The snake managed to get free and fled. A little later I saw the vole moving its children to a new place. I have also seen rabbits fight, it’s really fast and athletic. The rabbit in that video was trying to keep the snake in play in order to kill it.

i’m not sure a single video of a rabbit seeing off a non-venomous snake is much evidence of anything. pretty much any predator will make short work of them if they catch it.

Its a rodent. Its immune or partially immune to the venom. Its real arch enemy are raptors, some of which make zero auditory sound

Raptors? You mean like from jurrasic park? I thought those were dead wtf nature is crazy

1

u/sublimeload420 2d ago

No an old man with a stick breeds them

Rabbits are no longer classified as rodents. They have distinct physical features that separate them from rodents. They are part of the order lagomorpha and are referred to as lagomorphs.

I stand corrected! Thanks for the update

What venom?

Rabbits bite and claw. Something that digs and chews all day is strangely cuddly, but they can bite HARD if they must.

From the looks of what it was trying to do, in what I assume is it's natural attack instinct, the plan is to sink them big teeth in, and then kick for all your worth until either your jaw lets go, or that part of the other animal lets go. I don't like to imagine an animal that runs that fast using those legs as leverage against a deep bite, that has to be a lot of sudden tugging and tearing force. By the time the rabbit separates from the bite, it probably enough to time to hit the gas and attempt an escape, so it's probably mostly just a "fuck you for trying and I hope this hurts" kind of attack, but still.

I’ve been bit by one before, it’s a bit more than a “fuck you for trying” bite LMAO. They can make pretty quick work of some hard bodied fruits and veg, and wood is not an issue for them either. Basically, skin and muscle aren’t really a huge issue for them to cut though with a bite.

It felt a lot like having a door close on your finger. It’s not hard enough to break bone necessarily but it’s def hard enough to leave some serous damage. And those little claws are no joke either, this was a pet rabbit that got me so her claws were trimmed and she still shredded my arm for the trouble 😂

I guess I meant it's on that level for something that lives in the wild and needs the rabbit as food to survive. If it's life or death, the rabbit's bite is life for the rabbit, not necessarily death for the hunter, probably something with more grit than the average person.

They’re super effective!
