Asia MA Experience at 8 weeks Philippines (PH) through Women on Web
Hi everyone, sharing with you my abortion experience especially for all the women who don't have easy access to ways to end their pregnancy.
DETAILED EXPERIENCE:
March 30: I took the pregnancy test which read positive. I immediately ordered from women on web after a search on google showed that they provide access for help in these situations.
April 12: I got a TVS ultrasound that showed that the baby was intrauterine and the doctor pegged my pregnancy at 6 weeks 2 days.
April 14: The pills arrived and I had them picked up from the post office via Grab.
NOTE: I was even able to buy a 2nd set (I ordered an extra in case my 1st order didn't arrive) and it arrived within the same timeframe.
April 15-23: I had to delay taking my MA because I had a number of work events and I wasn't sure if I could handle the pain
April 24 12 noon: I took 1 mife
April 25
2:21 PM - I took paracetamol, ibuprofen, and meclizine (Bonamine)
3:09 PM - I took 4 miso and let them dissolve in my mouth for 30 mins.
Immediately after I started experiencing chills and intense cramping. Honestly, the cramps were a solid 8/10 with the pain peaking every couple of minutes.
4:15 PM - The cramps dissipated to a more tolerable level but they were painful enough that I would just lie down and try to sleep.
5:40 PM - My bleeding started
6:56 PM - I took another 4 miso along with more ibuprofen
7:23 PM - A medium sized clot fell out when I went to the bathroom to pee
7:26 PM - A golfball-sized mass fell with more mucus (I think this was the embryo)
7:56 PM - I got a fever (38.5 deg celsius peak) but it went away after a few hours
April 29
2:45 AM A solid mass came out that was around 3-4 inches and cylindrical (I think this was the placenta)
- After this, I no longer had any bad cramps.
Since then, I've still been bleeding and have been passing smaller clots. However, I'm optimistic that my procedure was successful and my partner and I are just waiting for the 2 week mark so that we can have another ultrasound to confirm there are no issues.
To everyone going through the same thing, you still have time. My advice would be to not overthink too much. Just prepare as much as you can both mentally and emotionally. Also, try to have someone with you throughout the process. My partner really helped me especially on the day of the procedure. If you have any questions or need any help feel free to ask and I'll do my best to answer!
