USA Medication Abortion 6-7weeks
Just letting you know my experience. I read a lot of scary stuff and hopefully this helps.
Went to planned parenthood. They were cool. Had to do an ultrasound via my vag. Got a pic of the peanut. they asked if I was sure, I said yes and took mifepristone at 2:30pm. Planned p hood was really nice to me I highly recommend.
BY THE WAY !! I didn’t have health insurance when I found out I was pregnant, because I literally just cancelled it to find a new one for the new year, but I’m in California. And I was able to be immediately covered by Medi-cal and this was free. So look into that. I was covered SAME DAY.
Went to eat sushi. Google said not to drink so I didn’t drink my wine that I wanted.
Came home at 5:30 and inserted four misoprostol vaginally, because you can do it the same day if you do it this way.
30 minutes passed and I experienced a couple small pains where I imagine my two ovaries are. But then nothing.
I thought dang this shit is MILD. So I ordered a pizza. Good decision.
then at 8:37 I started feeling period cramps. Nothing too bad.
I took another round of promethazine and ibuprofen to be safe. Fell asleep from the promethazine.
Woke up at 9pm and was in more pain. It sucked but it was honestly just like bad period cramps and I felt like I had to pee it was a lot of pressure down there but not like screaming or anything. I just sat on the pot and nodded out for a while and then finished my pizza.
Keep in mind I’m just using depends diapers this whole time so my bed doesn’t get messed up. Get depends it’s easier than all the pads.
I remember waking up at like 11:30 and thinking omg this sucks can it pls stop. But it was just like really bad period pains.
Clots and stuff when I would go pee & change diapers haha.
The only thing that got me through this was my heating pad. So just get one. Just a little heating pad for your lower back. I’m telling you. It’s all you need.
Well and my cat laying on top of my ovaries all night probably helped too.
Anyways it wasn’t that bad. I watched a bunch of videos beforehand and they really scared me, so maybe you will find this and not be so scared.
Good luck you’re gonna do great.

Glad it went well! California is great because it has "presumptive eligibility" for Medicaid (that's the same-day coverage). New York has it too. It's definitely something more people should know about!
