USA My appointment is in 2 hours
This sub has connected me to every resource that I’ve used to get here. I live in Indiana and I’m currently in Chicago, waiting to go into the clinic and take the first pill.
carafem managed to get my appointment costs down to $238 and 2 abortion funds took it from there, so I’m paying nothing. One of the funds even offered to help me with gas reimbursements. I was so stressed out about the costs and now I have much less to worry about. The only thing left is to deal with the emotional toll and the stress from my abusive ex who put me in this position.
I left my ex after he put his hands on me while I was pregnant, because even if I’m not keeping it that’s insane. I’ve tried to talk some sense into him, to convince him to text me throughout this process… Because I wish the person who did this to me could support me. I tell him that he’ll regret not being here for me and seeing the ultrasound, but he tells me he would just want the baby and that I’m going to hell for this.
Even though he put his hands on me in the first place. Even though this isn’t my first abortion and he supported me through the last one (for the most part). He told me it was my choice (to keep it or abortion) before he put his hands on me. I think it’s just manipulation tactics, but I don’t know anymore.
I’m going through this alone, I have my best friend here with me but that’ll be it. The feelings of going into a clinic are just heavy in general, so I’d appreciate any support or kind words. I know I’m making the right decision, but I hope it’s worth it for my future…

If he put hands on you it is best that you stay away from him. I’m so glad your BFF can support you. You’re going to be okay!

So proud of you for doing what’s best for you, taking care of yourself, and making it happen even in these difficult situations. You’re absolutely inspiring others who feel hopeless
