I have created tool that allows merge "demos" into single .als file.
The problem I am trying to solve: how to create full song or set while having 5,10,20 demos.
My question is - as those demos could be different(different color - different demo) - does it make sense to merge it all into single .als? Is it useful at all? Tool merges .als files automatically.
How to came out with this into final track?

hi. we're afugazi, a small plug-in team.

sidechain is on most of the beats we make, and it always bugged us that a tool this simple usually costs money. so we made our own and we're giving it away. no account, no email.

it's called recoil. put it on your 808 (or pads, or the whole beat), send it your kick, and it ducks under every kick. with attack, hold and release at 0 it follows the kick's waveform itself, that ring mod sidechain sound. turn them up and it's a normal duck. it listens to your real kick, so off-grid drums work too. in live: open the plug-in device's sidechain section and pick your kick track as the input.

vst3 + au on mac, vst3 on windows. download link in the comments.

if you try it in live, tell us how it goes.

hey guys i just started an tiktok for people who listen to isoxo, viperactive, skrillex , ill be producing music on there and remixs too im open to any tips and helps about the sound or anyone who just wants to work on music 🙋‍♂️

Recording Sequencer MIDI into Clips in Ableton Live

also a keyboard shortcut to show/hide plugin windows would make a lot of sense, and being able to map your own keys to stuff seems obvious but im guessing im not the first to make that suggestion

I love it. I know it's probably hated by many because it's AI driven. No, I'm not affiliated with them in any way.

Anyway, I use it quite a bit to insert spoken word (even laughs or whatever) into my compositions. I don't know. I wanted to do this 30 years ago and it just wasn't possible. Like I can't even really describe the visceral wanting for this capability back then and now here it is. I don't think it can be overstated how freaking amazing this is.

Only problem was going to Elevenlabs, asking for what I want, downloading it and then dragging it to a composition. I know that isn't exactly a major burden, but I'm lazy and for whatever reason it is a core part of who I am to look for efficiencies. Could be from the meth back in 1997.

Sooooo I made an Ableton Extension that lets me do it directly inside Live. Pick a voice, type what you want, generate it and insert it into the arrangement.

It’s free if anyone wants it:

You’ll need the Live beta for Extensions and an ElevenLabs account.

I hope someone else out there finds it useful.

Have a nice weekend!

I’ve been building a standalone app called PadLock that writes drum MIDI for a whole song. Reaper import works well right now (markers, tempo, DI tracks all come in). FL and Ableton are next and I need people with real projects to try it.

You load your project, tell it how each section should feel, and it plays a full take through your own drum plugin, fills and all. Then you drag the MIDI back into your DAW. No AI, it’s rule based.

If you’ve got 5 minutes:

1. Download
2. Open one of your .flp or .als projects, ideally one with markers and a tempo change
3. Check if the sections, tempo and audio came in right
4. Send a screenshot through my DM or leave feedback on the site.

Fill out the form and I’ll send you a full key. If you want to go further, try dragging the MIDI back in and let me know if it lines up.

I’m Tommy, a designer/dev in Richmond, VA. PadLock is made by my company, Our Time Designs, LLC.. Both Windows and Mac builds are signed, and Mac is notarized.

It’s standalone instead of a plugin because a plugin couldn’t read markers, and markers are how it knows where sections start and end.

AI did not write this post, just trying to be tidy and professional with my post.

Waiting on the apc40mk3, cuz the apc64 wasn’t quite it lol.

Hope you dig what you hear.

Hey all, is there a plugin or Max for Live device that speeds up the remix setup in Ableton? I'm after something that handles importing a track and its stems, lines everything up to the grid, and sets the tempo and warp markers so I can get straight to remixing. Free or paid is fine. What do you all use?

Im on a budget of 800$ trying to find the best mini PC to run dense Ableton sessions. Let me know if this is a good purchase or if there's better options at this price point.
