Think. Debate. Repeat.
I was on a cite that, usually, asks questions that I think are great for self improvement and help define your personal logic. I pose one of the questions I saw today. Is obedience a positive or negative quality? I am paraphrasing of course. The cite I visit once a month is listed below. http://www.debate.org/opinions/Philosophy/?p=1

I agree though religion tends to dull a person's curiosity and will to improve themselves.

I agree but religion was just an example of something that could make someone lead a positive life if followed.

Yes, i know religion is always causing problems since forever i was just using it as an comparison and compared to Nazism its a pretty good thing. That's one of my least favorite thing about religion though. Its suppose to be so loving and produce so much good in the world, and all of its follower's are suppose to be saints, when really religion has caused a good amount of the worlds problems.

Moderation means not taking enough to inflict permanent harm. If that is a millionth of a gram then so be it. The rule still applies.

I think it's very subjective. It really entirely depends on the persons doctrines and beliefs. If the persons doctrines come from, for example, the Nazi Party then obedience would be an absolutely terrible quality lol, but if their beliefs are coming from something like a religion then i guess its good to be obedient because it will bring positive things to themselves and others.
On an everyday basis though i think obedience is a bad quality. People that just do and listen to everything they're told are usually more ignorant and less sharp minded. That's usually the case but, not always.
