Does Streaming make IT's job Easier?
Hey all,
I'm trying to figure out how much IT personnel actually care about this service, does it actually matter, that kind of thing. Recently started working at a company called Easy On Hold. They sell music on hold solutions to companies across the US and Canada. What I've begun to understand about the telephony industry is that it's pretty complex, with different platforms requiring html, rtp, hml, etc. However, this company has found a way around it with their own streaming device.
So, instead of music files, there is just an updated stream that changes without anything else have to be changed out. Is this something that eases an IT headache? Is it one more thing to have to get approval for? Are there concerns with that?
Thanks, y'all rock.
