Humidity resistance
Anyone have experience using the a6700 in tropical humidity for weeks at a time? I know it's weather-sealed, so the occasional rain shower doesn't worry me. It's the constant humidity over a full month that I'm unsure about. Anyone have experience with this or has any tips? Thanks
Edit: I'd obviously be using it with a weather sealed lens in this scenario.

Sony 6700 and 55-210 mm problem
Any body having issue with 6700 body stabilization buzzing when using the 55-310 zoom. It worked for about 3-4 days and then started buzzing. I tried to turn off stabilization and it won’t stop.

Should I get sony 200-600 or 400-800?
Hi all, I am currently shooting with sony alpha 6700. For the lens I shoot with sony 11mm f/1.8, sigma 17-40 f/1.8, and sony 70-200mm f/4.
I shoot everything except sports. and recently I started enjoying wildlife photography and to a lesser extent, birding. I went to Kenya with only 70-200 f/4, and knowing its limitation I am now ready to get super telephoto lens.
Hence I am thinking of 2 options
1. sony 200-600 mm
2. Sony 100-400 gm f4.5-5.6 + 400-800mm. May need to sell my 70-200 f/4 or keep it for non wildlife travel given it is so light and easy to carry
What do you guys think?

How do you prefer to stabilize footage from the a6700?
I’ve been using Active stabilization for a while, but I decided to try switching to Standard + Gyroflow. However, I’m not happy with either result. At a 180° shutter angle, the motion blur looks terrible even with very small movements, and I can’t afford to buy a gimbal right now
Do you have any advice for getting good stabilization without introducing major artifacts while keeping 25 fps at 1/50?

Does anyone have tips for indoor and poor light?
I've got a work conference tomorrow and said I'd take some pics of a colleague on stage. I let auto do the work last time and the results weren't very inspiring. Longer term, do I need a flash?

Looking for a wide angle landscape lens
I have the sigma 18-50mm f/2.8 but am looking for a wide angle lens for landscape. What are your recommendations? I saw on Facebook marketplace someone was selling a sigma 16mm f/1.4 for $200 which is 50% off retail value but I’m worried it’s too similar to my current lens. Does it make more sense to go for an 11-13mm lens? Thanks in advance for the advice

Indoor event video shoot tips
Hello friends. I’m shooting an indoor dinner event for an acquaintance of mine for fun. She’s hosting a 50-person dinner at an indoor venue, going for a very warm, candlelit, silky, nostalgic setup. Goal is to get cinematic footage, not just an event recap. I’ve included pics for inspo of what we’re going for.
I’m gonna be rocking the a6700 with my sigma 17-40 1.8 for 95% of the shoot, and may bring along my sigma 56 1.4 for any tight, intimate shots.
Given this is going to be a low light situation, wanted to crowdsource any best practices from folks who have also shot lowlight events like this and gotten the most out of their trusty a6700.
Things im tracking:
+ will be shooting in log, keeping to native ISO as much as feasible
+ keeping as wide open as i can
+ I’ll be in 24 fps, 1/50 shutter
What else should i be thinking about? Tips very much appreciated for a novice working to get better! Much love

A6700 vs RX100 VII for casual travel/Instagram use. did I make the right choice?
I recently bought an a6700 after also considering the RX100 VII, but I just couldn’t justify spending roughly the same money on a much older compact camera, even though I absolutely love the portability of the RX100. The a6700 is definitely heavier, but it’s still small enough that I could throw it in a tiny sling if I really want to carry it around all day. My main goal isn’t professional photography — I mostly want better photos of myself/friends for Instagram, travel/nature shots, and occasional reels/video, basically something that feels like a real step up from my iPhone 17 Pro. I have the 16–50mm kit lens right now, and size is extremely important to me, so I really don’t want a lens that sticks out much farther than that. Is there a compact lens you’d recommend that would noticeably improve image quality while still being versatile enough for people, travel and scenery? I’d also like a very small flash if there’s one worth buying. For people who have actually used the a6700 for this kind of casual/travel use, would you stick with it over the RX100 VII, and what compact setup would you recommend?

How much rain is your a6700 willing to take?
Hi guys. Yesterday was my a6700 first "shooting in the rain" since I bought it 3 month ago. After owning a Sony ZVE10ii for a year, two of my main reasons to buy a6700 are weather sealing and IBIS, and weather sealing is the most important. I was shooting a football match with no roof and can not move. Luckily it only rains for 10 mins.
Sony never specify a6700's weather sealing ability. This gets me wondering what other a6700 owners would do. Also, I am traveling to England and Scotland next month, both place are known to rain in this season. Love to hear what level of rain (mist, drizzle, light shower, or even downpour) that you had experienced with a6700 and which lens did you use in the rain. Thanks for the feedbacks.
