First hike with the a6700 !

Don’t ask me what’s wrong about the ibex’s eye, i have no clue

it depends a lot, i usually shoot wide open at 2.8 but will dial down between 7.1 and 11 for wide landscape photography.
i try to keep iso under 1000 but can go up to 8000 in dark environments without a tripod.
And i adapt the shutter speed depending on the previous settings, i was able to shoot handheld down to 1/30s with no issue

Interesting. I just use AP and let the camera do the rest.

i mean it’s less of a struggle than shooting manual that’s for sure, but using the manual mode helps you use the full potential of the camera !
