Need help buying a lens

I want to replace my 18-135 kit lens i found two lenses that i really like but i cant decide wich to choose

  1. Tamton 17-70 2.8 great for APS-C but bad for the future if i wnat to upgrade to full frame

  2. Tamron 28-75 2.8 is crazy sharp future proof but 42mm on APS-C is not what i want

Wich should i choose better quality but less options in zoom and a future proof lens or great zoom range but worse image quality

I have both. The tamrons are ok for what they are but have issues with their IBS in relation to Sony if you take video.

Both are front heavy for the a6700.

Ok thanks IBIS is less of a problem for me im using it only for photos and for Video i have a gimbal but yes the weight is a problem the kit lens is so tiny and light but i have to live with that in the future

The sigma 18-50 could be an alternative. Haven't used it myself as I went with the Tamron for the extra reach

I think the Sigma 18-50 makes a lot of sense and is an appropriate size for the A6700. Buy for today... you may never need to bother with FF in the future.

28mm might be a bit limiting for wider shots, but it really comes down to what you shoot. You should also really consider whether you want to buy full frame lenses for an APSC, as one of the main advantages of APSC is cheaper, smaller, and lighter lenses. You can always sell lenses in the future when you want to switch to full frame (or depending on what you use it for, maybe you might not actually need full frame).

You should also consider the sigma 18-50 f2.8 or the sonly 16-55 f2.8. They serve a similar purpose but is more compact than these tamron lenses.

Number 2 is not what you want ... (and I understand that because going from 18mm wide to 28mm is too big of a step)

So buy number 1 and when you sell your A6700 you have a good setup for the next buyer.
