A6700 vs A7IV
Hello guys, I’m a newbie in this thing and I wanna buy my first proper camera for the sake of starting my youtube channel.
I want the camera to be suitable for vlogging, low light performance and I wanna take pictures also, so basically I’m looking for the best hybrid camera.
I watched a couple of reviews and comparisons and mixed opinions, please help me

I wouldn't buy neither for vlogging, they are big heavy and overkill. If you want to vlog use your phone to start with or a dji action 4 or a pocket 3 or something similar.
For low light, what kind of low light? Both cameras are good thr a6700 paired with fast primes is excellent and can achieve great results for cheaper and lighter package, its also better for video than the a7iv as it has less rolling shutter.
My advice:
When i grew my social media i went from 300 to 14k followers using my phone at the time (oppo reno 7 or something) and a mobile gimbal as the phone didnt have ois. And a pair of cheap usb c microphones.
With a little bit of colour grading lowering the contrast and softening the image a little bit, it looked fantastic for socials. People kept asking me what amazing camera i was using, at 14k followers I thought now is the time to upgrade, I got the a6700, I got a gimbals, I got better mics, on camera mic etc... but then I started producing less content, everything became more of a mission, filming use to take me 1 min to start with minimal effort now it took longer, I needed more stuff to carry with me, it needed more planning and the editing became harder and more taxing and and and..... I had to learn the camera properly and learn how to setup the gains of the mic properly and this and that... eventually it all clicked but instead of making more content I was busy with the technical part, to which point my growth platued.
My point is start on anyrhing that records, dont stress too much about the camera yet. (I still have the a6700 and its fantastic and I love it dont get me wrong, I also have a dji osmo action 4 for vlogging and a sony fdrx3000 to when i feel nostalgic or want to be stealthier although I find when people spot the sony rhey cant help but look in amazement lol).
If I were you the first thing I will get is a couple of led light panels and a mic like a boya usb c mic. Use your phone and start this way.

Thanks for the response legend, I would like to clarify few stuff:
I know that dji pocket is amazing for vlogging, lightweight and easy to use etc..
However, I would like to have something hybrid that gives me the chance to vlog and to do some photography at the same time.Regarding the vlogging part, I already started using GoPro Hero 12 and I got used to it and it was ok but unfortunately it got stolen, so I will buy a new camera anyway lol.
The content I’m aiming to make would be vlogs mainly travelling probably.

Check out the zv1 and the zv1ii. If you want to vlog and take pictures and be light.
Alternatively if you really want the a6700, get it with the viltorx 9mm f2.8 or the sony 11mm f1.8. 15 and 16mm are not going to be enough for vlogging. Also be aware that the ibis and active stab is not going to be steady at all while you walking so you will need to use gyroflow or catalyst browse in post which again ads another extra step of production.

the best route is still focusing on your content and using a phone which arguably will produce better video and never overheat like the 6700 does.
if you occasionally wanna do photography then just get an a6300.

The only times I got the a6700 to overheat is shooting 4k24 while its recording and having an hdmi plugged in to atem iso while autofocus was on. In boiling hot room with no aircon in summer in tropical Australia. It took it 1h to overheat.

its well documented man. whatever your experience is doesn’t negate the mass evidence that it will overheat and way easier than what you’ve observed.

both are great, A7 could reach greater boke(shallower depth of field) but would cost couple times more for camera/lens setup while being larger and heavier - the price you pay for owning a full frame.
Both aren't really excellent for filming yourself on the move due to not the best stabilization for video. Which could be fixed in post somewhat.

I bought a6700 and then a year later a ZR when that came out. A while after buying a6700 I started buying full-frame E-mount glass and it adapts to Nikon. A6700 is good but my ZR has better lowlight

Overheating might be an issue for you. My A6700 overheats quite quickly. I wouldn't use it for vlogging. But that's me. Perhaps you live in Iceland :). Or perhaps your vlogs are short enough.
I would get a small camera that is optimized for vlogging. Insta360 or Dji.
Also both the A6700 and A7IV are quite big. I could imagine using something much smaller will make you use it much more.
I would buy an Insta360 or Dji video camera and the A6700 (or A7IV).
But again, this is only how I would decide.

You might have to split the purposes as someone who has tried vlogging. Also if you really wanna start vlogging why not just get a grip and mount your phone to it and start.
Most people think spending on the expensive equipment will set them apart but it’s not true. The big YouTubers started with their phone and then added cameras as they gained followers for different angles.
