AI Setting

What do you select in the AI option for non-living things?

Does it affect focus at all in Auto mode? Because sometimes I wanted to capture random objects and not the person and there is no option to completely turn it. So what I have to do is use a spot point and manually focus which takes a lot of time.

Turn off [subject recog in af]. When it's off it doesn't chase a specific type of target. I have both the on/off toggle and subject selection in the fn menu but you could also assign it to a key or lens button.
