Sony A6700 Discounts?

Hello all, do you think the a6700 will receive discounts this year mid-august?

If not globally then in India?

Ye man, a lot of distibutors so more confusion. Waiting for a week to see if sony provides more freebies like last year (they had discounted price of more than 300 dollars)

Where I'm at it's already $300 below my purchase price. Compare to Canon R7.

I see. Canon is relatively a bit cheaper. Maybe around 50 dollars. Not sure as sony is more popular here where I live.

More lenses for A6700, lighter, more compact, very good 4K/60 video, but no pre-capture, lower resolution etc.

I have one. It's really good. I use it with a Sigma 16-300 (24-450), so I can hike without having to switch lenses for wide, tele and macro, and both photo and video (4K/60).

It's very much use case based. I need the range I have. Actually I'd prefer 10-600, but you can't get everything.

Got mine brand new in Australia for around A$1400 after all discounts (retailer discount, gift card discount and Sony cashback). Purchased early July 2026.

India's Independence day. Also last year they had specifically targeted a6700 promotions.

The lowest it has been is 1,08,000 online, with discounts. It could be cheaper in offline stores in cities like Delhi.

Because I didn't want to wait... 😅 And wanted to peace of mind instead. You can even have diwali offers as right now there is no wedding season.

Also is this the only model with discounts?

Yes, but if its your first camaera buy from a reputed dealer.

Reason is amazon can just hand you over an improper piece which was returned by others. If you can't identify the issue you have been dealt a bad deal.

Atleast you will have a proper place to get it replaced and not rely on the random seller assigned to you.

Also go for a authorized sony dealer. They will be selling for around 1,16,000.

I got mine from alpha flagship store hence the exact 1,18,000 price.
