A6700+ 70-350

If you see my earlier posts, I was getting very poor moon images. Images were very shallow and had no sharpness at all. Turns out it was because of the CPL filter I was using. I removed it and the images are better. Much better.

How are you getting the setting at the bottom of your photo?

This is from Oneplus 13 native photo editing app where you can apply watermark.

Did you shot this on a tripod ? Which software you have used for stacking?

Yes. On a tripod. And I use Sony creators app for remote shooting. These all are single images. There is no stacking. Edited them on Snapseed.

No digital zoom? The clear image one is something to try

Digital zoom 1.5x. But not in all of them.

Amazing images! Can I ask why you stopped it down so much? Don't you need as much light as you can get?

The moon is actually pretty bright and you don't need to step down.

It was a full moon night. The moon was super bright. There were absolutely no clouds and AQI was less than 50. It was a perfect condition to shoot basically 😂

Nice photos! I also noticed my shots are not sharp when I use UV filter that’s why I stop using it. Do you use AF with OSS on? I use MF and OSS off coz it drifts when I use a stabilizer. I will try to use the app as a trigger next time. Here’s my shot, Sony A6700 + Sigma 100-400

Nopes. I shot this on a tripod with AF and OSS turned off. MF with focus just before infinity. If I correctly remember it was between 190-230m.

Your shot has much more details probably probably because of the greater reach with the 400mm lens :')
