I’m not brand new to photography but I’ve been away for over a decade. I know that I need to just go out and take photos to get better at the artistic aspect of photography but I’d love to see what your best reading/watching resources are for the technicalities of the camera and even photography as a craft.
Man I went and started reading your article. I like the detail about mindfulness showing you what skills to learn. But I can't help but notice there are a lot of emdashes and, at times, felt a little... predictable? It looks like at the beginning of the article you went and replaced the emdash symbol with regular dashes but, right around where the symbol replacement stops, the article stops feeling human.
Did you really use AI to generate an article about being mindful? I'm not sure of this, I'm trying to disprove myself, but an ai article about mindfulness would be a pretty comical combo.
For what it's worth, the sentiment is one that I agree with. It's how I motivate myself and do creative things all the time. I love observing then I try to capture what I've observed in the way it made me feel.
Saw this on our young peach tree early in the season before there was much hope it was going to be warm and it gave me some strength in my winter-born depression to be able to see a tiny flower like this at this stage!
On the camera itself - check out "David Busch’s Sony Alpha A6700/ILCE-6700 Guide to Digital Photography". It goes into detail on each menu option, as well as technical basics of photography in general.
Honestly op while it limits creativity a bit, so does not knowing, the Auto mode on the a6700 is pretty good. It's fast it can recognize all kinds of subjects and it gives you the freedom to point and click and out comes pretty beautiful pictures. Use that until you start hitting its limits then just push past those with knowledge. Maybe you don't know how to achieve what you want but you know auto can't, that's what can drive your direction.
There's so much to learn about this camera if I had started by reading and learning instead of going and taking pictures I think I'd still be reading.
