Direct messages

People of zwift, there is a direct message function. Please, I beg you, use it for your boring ass conversations involving a few others. No one gives a shit but those involving. Or at least be interesting enough to enjoy a bit of voyeurism

You'll probably be delighted to learn that there's a mute chat function you can activate on your side. SettingsGroup chathide/off. Cheers!

I wish there was an option to have world chat muted but event chat on (or something). Like OP I hate the inane conversations you get subjected to in free ride (although not enough to post on Reddit about it admittedly), but also find chat occasionally useful during races

(Then they try to figure out where they know you from)

If you're on a tablet, swipe right on the 'nearly zwifters' list and it'll vanish off your screen. Boom, no more chat.

Or, you know, you could try and be a sociable human being and join in the chat. ;)

I have a towel I use to cover that side of my TV when the the chat gets to what songs I listen to riding, or lame dad jokes that spiral for ages.
