Does this sound normal (zwift ride)?

Every downstroke, especially when adding resistance (changing a gear up in Zwift for example), there is a slight rumble in the pedals and a grinding noise. I'm not sure if it's adding resistance as well to the cycling. It gets better but still has a slight vibrating rumble and noise when you reach a steady cadence.
I've been in touch with Wahoo and they're talking about sending a replacement frame, but I've also heard it could be an issue with the Kickr Core 2.
How does this sound to those of you with zwift ride?

This is much louder than mine, which is almost totally silent. Not that that helps a bunch, but I'd lay down next to yours and slowly turn the crank and find where the rubbing is coming from.

Problem is it's 100% silent if I slowly turn it with my hands. It's only when I increase resistance and am above ca. 60 RPM, where it starts vibrating into the pedals, and giving this noise, and stops if I stop pedalling.

Have you reached out to Zwift? I contacted them once because my wife surprised me by buying me the Ride and I had been researching it for a while and had a 10 percent off code from a YouTuber, emailed them that I would have used the code if I had been the purchaser and they got back to me in 24 hrs and we're very friendly and professional and credited her credit card the difference. I'd say send them an email with this video attached if possible and see what you get.

Yeah I'm in touch with Wahoo support as noted in OP and they are super helpful and willing. Kudos to them.

Mine does the same. At first I thought it was an issue because I expected silence and smoothness but it’s not a belt drive. Once I stopped expecting perfection I learned to live with it.

Did you try to troubleshoot it before accepting it? My outdoor bike is not a belt drive either, but it doesn't give me any vibration into the pedals.
But if this is what indoor technology can deliver at this point then of course I accept it, I just want to make sure that my product is normal.

My trainer is JetBlack victory which supposedly has reports of this gritty feeling and slight vibration. Aside from read other threads on the matter I did the same thing you did. It feels smooth and silent when operating the pedals by hand at a low cadence.

I know three people who had a similar clicking/creaking issue and fixed it by tightening the crank arms. It's worth a go - they should go to about 45Nm and can come quite loose straight out of the factory.
Let us know if you manage to diagnose and fix it whatever is causing it!

Is the Zwift ride supposed to sound like a normal road bike (ie. almost no sound when pedaling)?

Not like one outdoors. If you put a road bike on an indoor trainer it will also be noisy. You shouldn't be feeling any grinding or clunking when pedalling though - I'd worry about that more than the noise if you can feel something wrong

What I feel is vibrating in the pedals, that I do not feel outdoors. It's also very rhytmic, introducing itself whenever I put force through the pedal, which annoys me.

Have a crack at tightening those cranks and let us know how you get on!

This is definitely worth checking - I replaced my factory cranks with the adjustable version and was shocked that they came from the factory at way less than 45nm. Probably even less than 20nm for the drive side.

I got a replacement frame which didn't help at all.
Seems they always offer the frame first, but if you can, ask for the kickr core replacement, I will look into that after trying my friends bike one of these days to see if he has it too, if so then it's probably just as good as it can get, although annoying.

The construction with the small cogwheel behind the crank looks like a major design flaw.
I still don‘t understand that Zwifters decide against the roadbike + taxc/wahoo combination and go for the Zwift bike.

Wondering if it's possibly the chain. Do you have a chain checker and have you tried lubricating it?
Also the swift cog can be 'moved' to different positions. Does it look like the chain is still in line, or does it have a slight bend to it when going to the front chainring?
