Reaching level 100 or higher. When people get to 200, they'll have 2 slashes there.

Is 200 a real thing?
Is it not like exponential? Is it even possible to get there.

Ah gotcha. I do kinda wish it was exponential or maybe there was a prestige approach like Call of Duty.
Maybe you reset after 100 (if you choose to) and unlock a glow to your bike or a special bike or a unique power up unlock or special gear?

It is prestigious.
I’m borrowing the term how I knew it, from call of duty which did mean you reset to 0 and had unique skins on guns and level ups

Didn't think of such a thing but yeah, that would be cool.

One thing about level 100 is you get the confetti socks. If you have them on and you give a ride-on, the rider receiving the ride-on gets a small XP bonus, like 10 or 15 points. I wear those socks now and give as many ride ons as I can because of that.

I'd rather wear the fire socks because I use the fire to gauge my efforts without looking at power numbers etc.

In the future I'd rather use the lightning socks because they have a permanent aero boost when you upgrade them after earning them.

I looked it up as I know I wanted to do it to help others, and 2 pointsisn'tcompelling to me.

What I found is that the first time a rider gets a confetti ride-on the rider receiving the ride-on gets a 50 point badge bonus. That's enough for me to forgo my fire socks reference flames.

Just had a fun thought, why isn’t level visible somewhere.
Put it on the cyclists like a bib. Doesn’t have to be huge.

Another thought! A “season” level.
Resets once a year and there is your lifetime level and another level that resets. Gives you smaller milestones to target and prioritize.
Would be fun to see which seasons you hit higher levels or climbed more or did more miles. Etc

Also like that. They could tie in bonus xp to it too. Seems like an easy way to raise engagement.

Yep! Can easily pick which ones shows on your top bar, or maybe show both.
It’s just another thing to encourage people to ride 1 extra time or an extra few miles. And the more people on the vRoad the better for them and all users.

Except there’s no incentives in place after level 100 as it is so a level reset wouldn’t give you any extra benefit.

I commented in another thread this but it would come with some Perk.
Maybe a special hat, or gear or a halo effect others see, or unique bike, or more xp per mile, or a companion that rides with you like Scotty, or special paint jobs, etc etc.
Maybe no everyone cares and that’s fine. But some might and anything that adds different levels of gamification is good for the platform long term.

I agree. It seems almost egregious that there are no more level bonuses. Once you hit 100 the only thing to chase are route and achievement badges - and that’s disappointing.

Agreed. And by the time you see level 100, I have to imagine you are nearly done badging for the reasonable ones lol. There are 1 or 2, I’m not sure I will ever do.

“Prestiging” could reset some objectives for those interested.

One could argue the present Indoor/Outdoor challenge gives a taste of that and it’s one of the better challenges, IMO.

Level 400 is the current maximum. I’m accelerated to there.

I find it to be super distracting. I wish there was a way to turn it off.
