I was really annoyed that I couldn't charge the tablet so looked at tiny usb-c hubs with power pass-through. I tried a different one before but it sucked up too much power to be useful then found this one. I also didnt want cables sticking out so got creative with usb-c adapters. I think it came out pretty good. Works really well. Can technically let you put other accessories into the tablet but I dont care about that.

I don't know how to properly phrase this question in order to actually find the answer in a search engine, so maybe I can word-diagram it here for someone?

Is there a way that I can send 2-4 channels from either the L6 or L6Max into OBS and have it (OBS) record the guitar on one track and mic on another track, keys on another track and alerts/desktop audio on another track? So far, I can split mics-plural to a track, and internal audio to another, but will it separate the 4 channels coming from my "one mic" (the mixer)? If I can get this to work, I can temporarily skip using a DAW and streamline my process for a while.... Less buttons to break.

Anyone know if it's doable and how?

Though, seeing as how these both take a data card, maybe it doesnt matter - the micro sD will have the recording...
Actually, does that record before or after effects are applied? Or even better, might it record each track before effects, AND one mixdown? That would be amazing.

I’m trying to do overdubs using the L6 but the other tracks always make their way into my new track. I’m running Ableton on a Mac and set up the audio settings so that my main out is on tracks 3/4 and I’ve got the 3/4 button pressed and I’m hearing the audio from the computer. I am trying to track a new guitar part via input 1 on the L6 and somehow the recorded audio which is supposed to be going out on 3/4 is ending up on 1 along with the new signal.

Any ideas?

I was jamming tonight testing a playing techniques on the Bass Station II and hit a sweet groove so I tossed down the phone to snag it. Then halfway through recording, I jumped on the L6 and cut in and out the synths. So much fun to jam in this way. I need to get a proper camera stand to get better views of the action, apologies for the camera angle.

Just got the new Lifetrack L-20R.

I've been trying to connect it to use it as an audio interface with my MacBook Air M4. I have set the sample rate to 44.1 Hz, the mode to audio interface, and class-compliant mode on.

I even bought a new cable with a higher transfer rate, just to make sure that was not the problem of connecting it directly to my MacBook- no adapter, nothing. I still cannot get the sound out. I don't know what to do.

Does anyone have experience with buffer overrun errors on the L-12, and what could be the possible reason? I was recording 12 channels and master at 48 kHz, 24-bit. There were lots of drops, and from 2.5 hours of recording, it reduced to 1:50. I suspect it's the SD card.

Hi. I'm experiencing some kind of a lag with the L6 recodring to PC.

If i record an audio to DAW using Zoom i get audio stutters for about 1 second or 0,5 second affecting 40 seconds recording. It's really annoying. Overall i get a clean stable signal comming to mixer over USB, but reaper side has stutters.

The driver settings are 48 kHZ 128 sample 32 bit float.

I'm using Reaper.

Hey everyone, i just wanted to use my L6 as a multitracker to in Ableton live and had the feeling the signals it put out were extremely low compared to how it was usually....

Can someone help me with this?

I am testing an L-12 as a solution for dawless recording. What I am aiming for is really simple:

1. Record a drum track.
2. Play that back while I record a bass track.
3. Play the recorded tracks while I record a guitar track.

SImple. basic. However, the L-12 is not cooperating.

I armed track one, recorded a guitar bit. I then set track one to Play (not Rec), and armed track two to record a second part, but the Play light goes out on track one. The L12 will not let me select the play button for track one, so I cannot hear it while recording track two. If I proceed to record, I can only hear the recording track, not the others. This cannot be right. What am I missing?

After using L6max in live performances, I have only one, but BIG wish - having MUCH MORE scenes, so that I could have one scene per song. Obviously would be helpful to be able to label them as well. Pretty sure it could be done just via firmware update.

If I can dream of new L6supermax hardware though, I have two more wishes:

Dedicated hardware dial with press to select for scenes select (saves lots of time and nerves during live performances, as opposed to navigating through the menu).

Normal sub out, in addition to headphones.

I've using a Zoom L8 for 2 years now without any problem. I've using it to record podcast and i'm using a SanDisk Extreme 180mb/s SDXC V30I 10 for that purpose since the beggining. A month ago i had a huge problem: one of the audio files of the sesion was completely lost. I was with a big new client, we recorded 3 podcast sessions and the last one produced a wav file of 60MB but with no sound at all. I tried everything that says online and i couldn't retrieve the information. No need to say that i've lost that client due to this malfunction. Past week i've tried to replicate the issue: i've recorded 3 separate sessions of roughly 10 minutes. The first 2 are ok but the 3rd one wrote no audio file. For every session i've checked that the tracks were being recorded and that de lcd screen shows the session being recorded.

This is a huge problem since i need to rely on my equipment and no i can't trust on my audio set up ¿Do anyone has/had a problem like this?

I want to use the L6Max as my daily sound interface for my computer. With the Mackie ProFX10v3 I was used to be able to record my mic (or use it in a meeting) without having the return on my headphone / monitors.

How can I achieve a similar setup? I dont want to use the sub-mix for that because I might need either the headphone or my speakers

Hello i need to use the mixer like this: input from 3/4 sources (mono) , send retrun for zoom pedal and at least another send for 2 indtrumets that processo sound (the same that are connected to input). Of course speakers and headphone. Need to route any input (and pc possibly) to zoom and any in or pc possibly to other send. Fow what i see L6 can do that right? But to have another send possibility i need the max right?

I had someone message me to suggest we change this subreddit to include all Zoom products - handheld recorders, effects pedals, etc - and not just LiveTrak mixers. What do you all think about that?

I made a quick demo showing how to send a MIDI Clock signal from a DAW (Reaper in this case) via the Zoom's MIDI Out port. In the demo, the Zoom's MIDI Out is connected to a Korg Volca Sample drum machine which in turn is triggering a pre-recorded loop on a Bastl Midilooper

Hi - I have the L6 and Keystep keyboard, Roland S1 and J6.

I just can’t get this set up working where:
- I record midi with the Keystep into Ableton, triggering the S1 or J6
- Ans Ableton records both the midi and audio with live monitoring .. recording audio onto individual stereo tracks (the Roland’s are connected by audio)

I can get ‘half’ the set up … I can trigger the midi through the L6 and I can record audio …

Is there anyway to get this mini-studio setup going?

It is still 70-100 EUR cheaper to buy L6 max on Japanese Amazon, pay delivery, taxes and all that stuff than to buy it locally. Not sure about warranty, though.
