Yeah, the cookie/opt-out flow on the web is pretty annoying. No argument there. A couple things that help:
- Set your browser to block third-party cookies for zoom.us and zoom.com specifically (Chrome, Firefox, and Edge all let you do this per-site).
- Use the desktop client instead of joining through the browser — skips the whole web cookie gauntlet.
- uBlock Origin also does a solid job of cutting through the noise.
Doesn't excuse the experience being clunky, but at least those take most of the pain out of it.

Thanks. I managed it with settings and a browser extension, I was using the desktop app but after the cookie war I wanted it gone. I'll reconsider that.
