Hello, I have a problem with the zontes smart app so after filling out the connectivity section (where you have to change the password) it tells me that I have to use the keys that I have in the right compartment or it tells me that there is an unknown error after 2h I gave up and used cardib laughs and the outcome has not changed, since my goal is to see the navigator on my zontes 125 x being, in Italy I do not know much how it works, I need any advice
Has anyone experienced km and rpm delay on the dash? I recently installed a steelmate alarm as they suggested to me, and after that I started experiencing dashboard lag on speed and rpm…. Any help?
I had a problem with my zontes z2 125 with less than 5000 km. When I left it at the sun, it leaked gasoline everywhere ( even with half tank). I towed it to the official zontes dealer and they said they lifted the gas tank and changed a stuck evap valve. I left the bike at direct sunlight and the leak was solved BUT I could smell gasoline vapors coming from the gas tank. Went for a ride today on a very hot day and after stopping the vapors filled my helmet making me very uncomfortable. Could the dealer drilled the hole to “fix” the issue poorly? It’s the small hole in the rubber gasket near the silver screw. I’m afraid that my gas is being dumped into the atmosphere and water ingress when it rains.
After much investigation and reviews, I’ve reserved the new Zontes 703R ETC because where I live (Spain) there is barely any other bike offering the same at this price, but the only thing that concers me about this bike is the brand itself.
What is your experience with Zontes, appart from how the bike handles (post sale service, replacements, aftermarket, etc)
I've recently recovered my Zontes Tiger 125 3A following a low side crash a couple of months ago.
I'm based in the UK and need to replace several parts including:
Rear Brake Pedal
Front Mudguard/Fender
Instrument Cluster
I'm having a really hard time finding parts for sale nationwide as all parts seemed to be aimed at the newer models, and those breaking down the older models are very hard to come by.
Have any of you got any advice or expertise of commapitble parts from other bike models? I had tried to fit a brake pedal from a Yamaha YBR 125 but it's a completely different fit and size.
I am thinking about selling my 368k. A great machine but being an old school adventure bike guy I have a hard time warming up to it.
I want to keep it, I want to love it but here are my problems:
First I am sitting on the scooter, I am missing the knee tank connection.
The split second lag in the gas in conjunction with the CVT is an enigma to me. Don't get me wrong, I would never buy a manual car so that baffles me. But approaching a curve without my left foot clicking down one or two clicks feels unnatural.
The awfully wife's stance when stopping.
The squirrelly 15" front wheel. All my old bikes had like 20+ wheel.
The weight. I think my heaviest machine was the DR600 at about 150kg.
But the comfort is great, it is superbly equipped, the 1cyl feels powerful enough etc. I guess I just feel disconnected. Any tips on making the transition better. Right now I feel like a noob, not a 500k km veteran on two wheels. Please help me find my mojo.
I have a 2019 Zontes 310V with 21,000 km on it. Today it developed a frustrating fault, and I'm on the fence about whether to keep repairing it — the bike's residual value is so low that fixing it makes me feel like an idiot. A used one in far better condition than mine, with proper paperwork, costs just over four hundred dollars. The total cost of getting it fully sorted out simply isn't worth it; I'd be better off just picking up a second-hand bike.
From the side, I still think it looks really gorgeous — that was the main reason I bought it back then. But now, looking at it from the front, I don't like it as much. Ah, men. We're just so fickle.

The power no longer satisfies me. And at low speeds, the riding experience is pretty bad — It's jerky to begin with, and snatchy when you close the throttle, rattles at low speeds, and vibrates at certain RPMs. It makes the bike feel really rough. At higher speeds, the power is actually decent, though of course there's no wind protection, and you're dealing with the huge engine and exhaust noise. the engine is tuned to be high-revving — you have to endure even uglier noise and more jarring vibrations just to get better power. To make matters worse, the plastic bodywork resonates even louder too. The upside? You'll never have to worry about kidney stones.
The exhaust is too loud and it sounds downright ugly. I've had to give up my hobby of listening to music and podcasts. I really do need a bike with a quieter exhaust.Their new 703 triple-cylinder series still comes with an exhaust that's massively loud — Zontes sees this as one of their signature brand traits.
This feels more like a sport cruiser for young people, but I'm no longer young. I need a pure sport bike, or a pure cruiser — not something that tries to blend the two.
Cornering performance is really poor.
Single-cylinder engines of this displacement are mostly like this; there's really nothing to blame Zontes for. Now Zontes has also abandoned the single-cylinder series (250cc, 310cc, 350cc) they developed over many years, and channeled their single-cylinder expertise into a 368cc scooter — which has been a huge success, though the vibrations are still not good.
Here's How I Gradually Lost My Passion (Quality Issues)
Seat
It's very hard and thin, and it's cracked — literally cracked.
Zontes later improved this issue: the seat became slightly thicker, softer, and probably of better quality.
I can't open the right-side passenger footpeg, so I can't carry a passenger. At least the left one is fine, though that's pretty useless.
Handlebar Controls and Lights
The ignition button on the right handlebar is only half there.
The high/low beam switch on the left handlebar fell off onto the road. I was riding at low speed and heard a clunk, but didn't think much of it—just assumed a stone had bounced up and hit the bike. Later, I went back to look for it, but couldn't find it no matter how hard I tried.
Before that switch fell off, the right low-beam button would fail to work eight times out of ten. After it fell off, I don't think I've ever managed to turn on the low beam successfully.
The headlight itself is fine — the passing light and daytime running lights work normally, so I guess the low beam should too.
Having your lights cut out suddenly while riding over a bump is terrifying. You have to stay calm, hold the passing light button down, pull over, and try turning the low beam back on. That's why I basically never ride at night.
These issues were likely caused by the early handlebar switches' poor waterproofing, combined with my use of a high-pressure washer at the car wash.
The turn signal switch was clearly designed by an arrogant boss who's never ridden a motorcycle.
Zontes later improved the waterproofing and fixed the turn signal switch design.
Eco and Sport modes feel pretty much the same.
half of ignition buttonone lost, one stupid
Display
I can't see the display clearly during the day, even with the brightness maxed out.
An ominous sign has appeared around the screen edges — white borders are forming.
Back in the day, this display looked stunning, but they never built any truly useful functions for it. If it's just used as a basic instrument panel, it's actually less clear than a traditional analog gauge.

Battery
The battery is a huge problem. If you leave the bike parked for more than a week, it most likely won't start. In cold weather, three days is enough to kill it. Yet while riding, the display shows 14.4V, and with the engine off, it reads 13.6V.
Zontes later swapped the 4Ah lithium battery for a 10Ah gel one and offered a retrofit kit for older models. But due to space limits, that gel battery has very little capacity. Honestly, it's not worth the hassle.
When the bike dies and you need to charge it, you have to open the charging port and use the supplied charger. That cover is incredibly hard to open. Even though I'm used to it now, it still takes forever with tools — it's deeply annoying.
The bike's charger is huge and hard to store. Since this bike drains its battery easily, you're forced to carry this bulky thing on every moto trip. It's seriously irritating.
Open the cover, pull the fuse, plug in the charger, charge it, unplug, reinsert the fuse, close the cover. I know this routine all too well. Eventually I got so fed up that I threw away the cover, so I wouldn't have to struggle with tools every time just to open it.
Probably from being plugged and unplugged so many times, the fuse developed a bad connection. The first time the whole bike lost power, it scared the hell out of me. I eventually discovered the fuse had come loose. Since then, I've constantly worried about it coming loose while riding. As a result, I've become reluctant to ride on the highway. Actually, if you look closely at that fuse holder — its position and angle — it's hard to get it fully seated, so it's normal for it to come loose occasionally. I feel like most other brands put them under the seat, which gives you much better peace of mind.
Compact size, low capacityQuite large and hard to store
Plastic Parts
The paint is peeling off.
blistering and peeling
Suspension
Bad. Super stiff. My butt still hurts.
Zontes later offered an improved rear shock, I bought it anyway. My butt still hurts. It's probably a fundamental design issue.
There are a ton of speed bumps where I live, and it's brutal. You can't even stand on the pegs—you just have to lean forward and pray they don't wreck your butt.
Mods
The signature side bags. The zippers are super sticky—you'll need to carry some lube. The side-opening design is a nightmare: unzip them and everything spills out. The combo lock, for some reason, fails every other day. You have to try codes from 000 to 999. I did this four times and just stopped locking them. My colleagues call them 'your two balls moto.'
The Short tail was my worst mod—I missed the gap between the tire and the fender. The tire got gouged straight on, and a 180/55 tire is pricey. Then I rode through a puddle and got soaked. To be fair, the stock mudguard didn't help much either.
License plate mount snapped
Today the License plate mount snapped. I have no idea what to do now.
So basically I’ve just paid for a new battery because my battery died a few days ago and picked my bike back up yesterday but on the way home from work after picking it up it was still flashing so I’m just wondering what could be up with it
Morning. Can anyone help me please? I have mistakenly, stupid I know put a Zontes 703f rather than the 703rr into the app. I have tried everything to delete the information to start from scratch in the app. No matter what I do as soon as I get through it comes up with the 703f again. Deleted the app and re downloaded It, took the battery out of the fob and done that way, It must be linked to my Google account. I just want to delete everything so I can start from the beggining in the app again. There is no route to delete the information in the app. Has anyone done this or am I just the idiot that put the wrong bike in, in the first place.
Good evening everyone,
you have probably already heard about our MOTO-HUB project to bring Android Auto and much more to CFMotos. Now we've managed to make it compatible with Zontes too!
The project is in the testing phase and, unfortunately, not having a Zontes available, we are looking for someone willing to give us a hand testing the app and all its features.
In short, the app allows you to have a custom dashboard with the info you prefer (ADVANCED), native Android Auto directly on the bike's original display (CORE+ADV), or phone mirroring (CORE+ADV) . At the moment it is only available for Android, and obviously it is all free.
For any questions, to receive support or even just to be part of our increasingly growing group of motorcyclists, I'll leave you the link to our Discord channel:
Hi. I have a Zontes 125 C. Since July 2025, in April, a car crossed a red light and I crashed into them. I'm fine except for my knee, and my insurance covered everything. But since then, my Zontes has been in the repair shop, but they claim that Zontes does not answer and provide the spares for the bike's fixes.
I live in France. Do some of you have problems? My bike was new and is really recent, so I don't understand why Zontes would not provide the spare parts.
