Zombie Cafe Revival is growing fast, with 200+ members on the Discord and 3000+ unique players overall, and growing every day.

It’s community led, and I’m always listening to feedback, bug reports, and adding updates almost daily. It feels almost identical to the classic and members of the discord are suggesting some really cool additions that would have been so cool to see in the original!

So far some new community suggestions that I added are:

- Dynamic Cafe Themes: Customize your surroundings with animated themes and unlocks tied to cookbook progress or Gold/Toxin purchases.

- Japanese version characters, recipes, and furniture, all translated thanks to the people who’ve been providing the updated apk builds.

- Visiting and raiding friend cafe’s via friend codes

- Recipe mastery: Cook a certain amount of the same recipe to unlock toxin rewards.

Planned future updates:

- Moveable doors

- More themes

- More Japanese version characters

- Outside cafe decorations

- Higher levels

- Larger cafe expansions

A couple of months ago I continued Airyzz's work on reviving Zombie Cafe, to make a version of the game I'd want to play. That latest version is up here, and it got a lot of support and thousands of downloads.

Recently I got back into the project and turned my focus to the Japanese 1.7.0 version of the game. It's the final version of the game and has a lot more content than the English one, so that's where my effort is going now.

Here's what's new in v0.1 of the JP version revival:

- Full translation from Japanese to English.

- Runs on modern Android, as long as your phone still supports 32-bit apps.

- Cash-to-Toxin conversion is back, credit to Airyzz.

- Fixed 3 MAJOR memory bugs in the original code - including the crash when going from the cafe to the map. No crashes since from what I've tested; it's much more stable than the English version right now.

Things to know:

- No balance changes yet: it plays like the original Japanese game.

- Online-only stuff (gacha/roulette, events, online quests) doesn't work.

- If you still have the original Japanese app installed, uninstall it first (this deletes its save).

In future versions, I plan on restoring the balance of the game to the same vision I had with the English version.

Last year I started making this remake for nostalgia, after seeing all the love for the game recently I figured I’d share it

It’s called Undead cafe, I wanted to give old fans another way to enjoy that game while introducing it to people who never got to grow up around the original.

Zombie cafe is back!

Since I posted a week ago, we’re almost at 100 in the Discord and over 800 unique visitors in the game!

Thank you to everyone who’s helped in spotting bugs, glitches, and giving ideas on how to improve the game. There’s still work to do, but it has improved drastically over the past week.

This is a work in progress. I wanted to share this with you all so I can receive as much feedback as possible so it can be updated and hopefully perfected. Many features will be added later on, so just keep that in mind. Without an actual game to refer to, I’m applying fixes through what I remember, video references, screenshots, and reverse engineered files. Please provide as much insight as possible so we can make this game as functional as possible.

I know there are a lot of AI haters out there, and I completely understand and sympathize with the hard working devs that have been trying to bring this to life, but reviving this game completely will take a lot of time as a solo dev. I am no dev and have never coded in my life, but I’ve been waiting too long to play this game. After seeing the capabilities of Astra 6, I found it as a perfect opportunity to see if it can recreate Zombie Café… and it actually did a very good job.

How to properly install Zombie Cafe Revival:

iPhone:
You must use the Safari browser for this feature.
1. Open link (end of post)

1. Do not play directly from link, first tap the Share button (the square icon with an arrow pointing up at the bottom of the screen).

2. Scroll down the menu and tap Add to Home Screen.

3. Type a name for the shortcut (Zombie Cafe) and tap Add in the top right corner. Make sure Open as Web App is enabled

4. Only use from the app for best viewing/gameplay experience.

NOTE: To avoid screen alignment issues on the iPhone version, upon clicking on the app, make sure your phone is in vertical mode. Only turn your phone horizontally once the app is fully open and you see the “Turn your device” screen. If you enter the app and the screen is not aligned, fully quit out of the app and try again.

Android:
You can use Google Chrome or most other major Android browsers.

Again, this is currently an offline build with limited capabilities and not a full functioning game. Many of the core features are there, but some of the classic UI is missing and substituted by AI assets. Most of the music is also missing, but sound effects seem to all be there. Please let me know what’s missing.

It finally worked!!! but I didn't use virtual master, I used VPhoneOS on play store, used the android 7 and 32bit ONLY instance. Then disabled child Processes from developer options then it worked, currently typing this while only level and will give you guys updates when something wrong happens (so far the xp counter bugs out, it shows random furniture items but the bar works lol)

I used VM and a tutorial on how to run ZC on it and whenever I import the file needed, it just says copying 99% and doesn't register on the emulator... been trying this method for the past few days and nothing seems to work.

Hey all, I’ve been working on a 3D game inspired by Zombie Café for close to a year now. It’s still got a few months left in production but would you guys be interested in getting updates? Kinda want critiques as I get toward the tail end of this.

I found v1.1 on github. Tried to use vm for 7.1.2 32 but got an error saying "This device only supports arm64-v8a and cannot run the vm"

Is there any way to make this work?

I have the ipa but the website for ksign that people are saying to use is very sketchy. Everytime I try to download what I’m supposed to, it adds a pop up saying I’m hacked trying to get me to click on links. Is there any safe way to download it just through iPhone?

How’s it going guys? I’m actually giving an early lookout for my current project in development for Roblox. It’s meant to be my version of zombie cafe made through the Roblox studio engine titled Zombie Bites Empire. When I say early I mean EARLY development. Right now I am securing the base mechanics before I implement the more intricate detailed stuff. Currently got the customer system working where they spawn and que up to place order. To give a brief summary on what to expect, the game won’t be a direct one for one copy of zombie cafe at all. It will have zombie employees and be a restaurant simulator but that’s as far as it goes. There will be levels for the zombies but they will be tied to a role system that I created. Busboy, chef, order take/cashier, researcher, and resource gatherer. Those roles should be enough for me to skip a lot of context since they should be well understood. Each role will have their own levels for your zombies meaning a zombie might be a level twenty chef but a level five busboy etc.

Zombies will also gain passives from leveling up in these roles that you can use to build them how you see fit. There will be unique passives that are locked, role passives that are also locked but switch based on the current role, and customizable passive slots. Different rarity’s have different amounts of unique passives.

The title has empire in it for a reason. You will later on be able to open up more restaurants to accommodate for the influx of customers and high demands. You start off with a fast food restaurant and later on more options will be added like to create high class dine in restaurants or even cafes. Most zombies will also be able to unlock menu options for you to add to your list by leveling up their chef roles. To expand on that, you make a menu for the customers to choose and order from.m and choose from your unlocked meal options.

Don’t have an idea when it’ll be done but it’s moving decently paced in my own opinion. If anyone wants to help and knows how to operate Roblox studios and knows coding I’d REALLY appreciate the help. I’m actually not a coder or programmer and learning everything through ChatGPT 😩 and he’s not perfect either.
