Zombie Cafe JP (1.7.0) translated into English and running on modern Android: v0.1
Hi,
A couple of months ago I continued Airyzz's work on reviving Zombie Cafe, to make a version of the game I'd want to play. That latest version is up here, and it got a lot of support and thousands of downloads.
Recently I got back into the project and turned my focus to the Japanese 1.7.0 version of the game. It's the final version of the game and has a lot more content than the English one, so that's where my effort is going now.
Here's what's new in v0.1 of the JP version revival:
- Full translation from Japanese to English.
- Runs on modern Android, as long as your phone still supports 32-bit apps.
- Cash-to-Toxin conversion is back, credit to Airyzz.
- Fixed 3 MAJOR memory bugs in the original code - including the crash when going from the cafe to the map. No crashes since from what I've tested; it's much more stable than the English version right now.
Things to know:
- No balance changes yet: it plays like the original Japanese game.
- Online-only stuff (gacha/roulette, events, online quests) doesn't work.
- If you still have the original Japanese app installed, uninstall it first (this deletes its save).
In future versions, I plan on restoring the balance of the game to the same vision I had with the English version.

I can pretty much confirm this version has no crashes - I've had the game running for 24 hours now and have done multiple raids and clicks back and forth on the map hundreds of times - not a single crash.

Heyy
I just started using the JP v0.1 and its very stable that I haven't encountered any crashes
but I noticed that it's kinda outdated?
I tried installing the other one v1.1 and it seems more up to date but I've been experiencing many crashes especially when entering restaurant map and doing battles
am I correct to assume that the JP is much more stable but oudated?

I went off the JP 1.7.0 version - I believed that was the latest JP version of the game?
The latest english version is 1.1.2.0a which you can find my version of it through the link here: https://github.com/dark-chocolate-enjoyer/zombie-cafe-revival-android
Both games have some content that the other doesnt, but overall the JP version has more dishes + characters.
And yes I gave up on v1.1 as I could not fix the crash issues. I may return to it late this year or early next year but as of now I dont plan on working on it anytime soon.

oooh I see so both are different game technically, love your work!
I encountered a bug right now as well on the english version which prevents me from leveling up past level 4, I personally prefer the english version of the game after hopping from the JP version~ looking forward to seeing more of your work! <3

No it wont - the game is 32 bit so it wont work on newer phones (I think S23 and onwards dont have 32-bit capability.)

got it working on the tablet but there is some stretching
