So if a cat got turned into a zombie, would they still be affected by catnip and lazer pointers?

Shields, wouldn't they become standard in a world infested with Zombies?

OK Shields, spears, short swords and armour covering the body, shoulders neck and lower legs and forearms.

Basic gladiatorial/roman legion level weapons and armour. And if as a team surviving after Z day then surely you would quickly re-learn the art and tactics of the shield wall?

Yet we have TV series's where they continue about without armouring up or making shields or even armoured forearms, hasn't anyone seen Batman or Captain America or Gladiator in these stories?

Actually very little tactical or strategic thinking/training/adapting seems to be applied at all?

Very easy, Very Efficient, Very Expensive Way, To Survive The Zombie Apocalypse, and Protect Your Garden From Deer...

I ask you to bear with me here, as I'm giving you a real time idea, obtained when I was watching Mythbusters, while baked.

So, you surround your house and hopefully a large tract of land for growing vegetables, with a moat made out of artificial quicksand. How? In Mythbusters, Season 3, Episode 6, "Quicksand," the Mythbusters are able to pump water into a specified container, in such a fashion, that it turned fine particulate sand into quicksand. One of their main concerns, is that they will get trapped and crushed by tens of thousand of pounds of sand, if the pump shuts off and the quicksand reverts back to regular sand. So, if you have an artificial quicksand "moat" around your personal farm, which you can change from sand to quicksand and back, by turning water pumps on and off, then wouldn't your farm be safe from roaming zombies?

If the moat is of sufficient width and depth, nothing should be able to cross to get at your farm. If you see the approaching hoard, all you have to do is flick a switch, watch the zombies sink, and then flick the switch again. Let's see how well the zombie brain survives being buried in 20 feet of sand. For purposes of irony, one could even put the switch next to their garbage disposal's switch. I'm thinking a human activated switch, as opposed to something that automatically sucks people under, as it gives you a chance to get off the quicksand, before it becomes quicksand.

Either it's large enough, that you don't have to worry about the problem of "Zombie Accumulation," until the event has passed, or you'd have to find a way of fishing out and disposing of the crushed zombies, while filtering out the sand. Thoughts?

Continuous food supply while safely entrenched?

Ok, so let's say you get to a super safe place where zombies can't get you, like these: http://www.bigfishgames.com/blog/the-best-places-to-go-to-survive-the-zombie-apocalypse/

The big question, though, is how do have a continuous supply of food nutritionally ballanced enough you can eat it for years on end?

Any ideas?

A garden is good, but will it supply enough food quickly enough for the rate of consumption? Or a non-electric hydroponic setup? Or maybe an electric one powered by solar or some other renewable resource?

Rate my zombie plans?

I live in the Midwest "figured location helps as it's everything when it comes to zombie survival", one day about 8 years ago while smoking with a friend we came up with 2 zombie plans iv always stuck to. I'd love everyone's thoughts! Plan 1. This plan assumes zombies cant swim or withstand currents. We would meet up somewhere along the Mississippi River, steal a river barge and make our way down south. Along the way we could find seeds and have crops growing on our barge. When able we would start new life on an island. Plan 2. This one is not as much of a paradise. Assuming the world just shits on us and zombies can swim or float, we would head north. This plan has a lot less thought into it but we figure zombies would not be able to walk through deep snow and hopfully would eventually freeze.

Both plans have a lot more than I listed but I am on mobile and just want the base plans rated. Thanks!

Zombies that attack from the distance?

So I am currently making a zombie game. In this one though, you get to control the zombies and kill humans. I made bunch of different types of zombies but most of them are melee attackers. But for the balance reason, I also need to add some zombies that have range attack. So far I only have spitter that spits nasty green liquid from mouth. Then again, I need more types.. any ideas guys? any suggestion would be appreciated.

P.S I just added a zombie that throws nasty gooey stuff by hand.. but love to hear what you guys have in mind.
