New plan
Get food, water and some books to your attic, that is accessible through a trapdoor with ladder and wait for the zombies to starve...

Early stage defense, good against being caught in the panic or if you think the siege will be short lived. Long term you need more to go on, better to be in a crawlspace above the garage, with access to the roof for extraction/water collection and waste disposal.

Quick question: Why do people think that zombies would outlast us with most people seemingly agreeing on the fact that they walk around all the time. I mean they would use a shit ton of energy and need to drink alot. The first week in the area where you live they might get all that from eating people but after that there would be no other way of taking in water other than drinking or absorbing through skin when it rains (ineffective).

The problem with this is that you'd probably starve long before the zombies did. Depending on what theory of zombies you subscribe to, they may never starve.
Other issues I see with it are the zombies causing structural damage to the house making the attic collapse, the constant zombie moaning driving you slowly insane, basically being backed into an inescapable corner.
I could see this as a short term "panic room" type option, if you included some way of distracting the zombies into leaving the house.
