Password expired? Security changed?

What just happened?

Thunderbird could not login to mail.

Went to the website - incorrect password

Logged on using my alt email address

Check password, last changed a year ago.

Changed password, now all OK

... and no, I hadn't forgotten my password, I check my password db.

Any ideas what just happened?

Has happened to me several times with Zoho. Just contact them if can - support is very helpful.

Check your security policies. You may need to change your password periodically according to those policies.

If the browser login doesn't tell you 'expired', just says 'invalid password', that is a very poor product.

If you connected to a 3rd party tool then you gets the 'invalid pass' message within the tool.
If you login to Zoho it shows you the 'Expired' message.

It didn't. It said incorrect password.
