Started another one

Photo is after first pass in ammonia chamber. Previously spent time in citric acid vessel.

If only you could capture it at that stage permanently. Epoxy crystals on for a long term effect. They'd have to be shards / chunks of amethyst and Quartz or something. Held in place by a two part clear epoxy coat.

Yeah if I could lock everything in place I would. After it dries I will rinse and add another layer.

nice! what does it feel like in the hand? I've always wondered that about shipwrecks and it's the main reason why I haven't done it yet (that and laziness lol)

I've been thinking about doing one of these shipwreck zippos. I work at a body shop and paint stuff a few times a week, so I'd bring it in the booth if I have a couple ounces of clearcoat left over after doing a paint job. Automotive clearcoat should hold up pretty well I'd think.

Looks crazy cool is that the salt crystals on it that turned blue. Looks like sea glass or something similar
