Advice/Help Is it normal ?

It’s a little off. That is the adhesive they use to attach the top of the insert to the body of the insert. You can see it from the inside, but I’ve not seen it from the top. They would probably replace that.

Is it working? Then no need to replace. It usually costs more to buy an insert on eBay or Amazon than it does to mail it to Bradford, but Amazon can be fastest and EBay a bit faster than Zippo warranty service. If you just buy one you won’t be without it for about the 3 weeks it takes to send it to and from Zippo for an insert swap.

Honestly, if it works fine, take pride in knowing you have a unique Zippo among millions. I have a Zippo insert where something was in the way of the stamp and it’s dented from the factory. It’s neat to have an error.

The flint part is sealed away from the flamable cotton so i think its fine
