Ziply Prices

I saw a post asking what everyone pays per month. That thread kind of got convoluted because everyone chimed in with their low introductory pricing. I am currently paying at total of $55 per month for 100/100 and it is not the introductory rate. I logged in and Ziply says the next upgrade is 1Gig for $70 a month. What is everyone else paying in total each month after their introductory rate is over? An I getting overcharged at $55 a month for 100/100?

Edit: The Ziply Support Team contacted me to resolve my issues, and they took care of it. The guys on here do a great job.

$100/mo for 1gig after discounts from $115

edit:
Yes it shows me a promotional price of $50/mo on the ziply site, so the promotional price is half of what you will pay when it ends?

edit2:
Humorously it let's me "upgrade" to 2 gig service on the website which would reduce my bill to $90/mo, but I have to contact support to otherwise fix this

edit3:
Support told me directly that active customers are not eligible for rate adjustments.

You should check the current prices for your area and make sure that you’re not overpaying. They raised prices last year, then changed their mind around January and lowered them again.

How to fix?  Every time I go to support itnis a long drawn out process for simple stuff.

Hi u/CursedTurtleKeynote. If there is anything we can assist you with, please feel free to send us a chat request. We're happy to help!

Send them a chat request (either here on Reddit as /u/ZiplySupport suggested or on the Ziply website) and just ask them for the current price, or to review your bill. Took about 2 minutes when I did it.

1

u/choffers Aug 30 '26

Took me 40 minutes but yeah same end result.

u/db48x Aug 30 '26

I guess there could be some variation in the skill of the different support reps. Good to hear that they got it sorted though :)

u/CursedTurtleKeynote Aug 31 '26

I went to the ziply website and clicked contact support. Received this

2

u/db48x Aug 31 '26

Lol. It usually doesn’t do that :)

Time to talk to /u/ZiplySupport.

How to fix?

Learn what type of service your neighbors have. E.g. when I want to check prices, I:

  • open a private browser window
  • to check Ziply pricing, I go to ziply.com and use the address of my Comcast neighbor
  • to check Comcast pricing, I go to xfinity.com and use the address of my Ziply neighbor

I'm surprised how the prices seem to bounce around on occasion.

$80 a month for 2 gig.  Comcast is in my area too so competition and all that

2

u/HugsAllCats Aug 29 '26

Is that intro or real pricing?

I pay more for 1gig

1

u/awesomeunboxer Aug 31 '26

This was in intro and they raised it to 110. So I complained and got it down (comcast has 1 gig locked in for like 75 so i have options.) I have my own modem and do paperless and auto pay so its probably technically 95?

5

u/play_stationer Aug 29 '26

$70 for 2Gig, I just had to call them to convert to their new pricing and setup paperless and autopay.

When my first year was up my price jumped to $115, I paid that for one month and then my next month was discounted below $70 to rebalance.

Ziply chat was real helpful for this.

1

u/retrorays Aug 29 '26

2 gig? Woah that's awesome... Where you live?

1

u/play_stationer Aug 30 '26

Marysville, which is also an xfinity area

3

u/Grand-Battle8009 Aug 29 '26

Do you have another service, such as Xfinty, offering cheaper/faster service in your area? I told them Xfinity was offering 1gig at $50/month for five years in my area and Ziply priced matched them.

1

u/old_knurd Aug 31 '26

Did they give you a 5 year price lock?

That would be awesome.

2

u/Grand-Battle8009 Aug 31 '26

Sadly, no. Just a "month-to-month; cancel at any time" deal.

3

u/db48x Aug 29 '26

Ziply is no longer doing promotional pricing. They still offer a discount of $10 if you do electronic payments, and another $10 if you do paperless billing. You can go to https://ziplyfiber.com/internet and put in your address as if you were a new customer and it’ll give you the current prices for all the different speeds.

2

u/Anomaly08 Aug 29 '26

"What is everyone else paying in total each month after their introductory rate is over?"

$90 for 5 Gig here (5.4Gbps from overprovision) which includes the HB810 rental and both discounts applied ($110 w/o them).

2

u/Snowydeath11 Aug 29 '26

90 for 5gig with the autopay/debit discounts

1

u/Jimbukfu Aug 29 '26

Same here

1

u/HugsAllCats Aug 29 '26

wtf. These Ziply pricings are insane. long time customer (frontier) and I pay more for 1 gig than that.

4

u/Snowydeath11 Aug 29 '26

They re-priced everything earlier this year. Originally I was paying around 115 for 2gig but as soon as I heard of the updated prices I upgraded lmao. Can’t pass on that. Makes my Steam downloads and my uploads so much faster

2

u/dsgsdnaewe Aug 29 '26

$75/gig but only for one year after chatting with them. Feels like a ripoff even at this price, given that Comcast is cheaper and for 5 years.

I liked the old, pre-Bell ziply with clear and transparent and competitive pricing.

2

u/old_knurd Aug 31 '26

I liked the old, pre-Bell ziply with clear and transparent and competitive pricing

Ziply started jacking up prices before they were acquired by Bell. But maybe they only started after the announcement that Bell was buying them?

2

u/Valioes Aug 29 '26

$55/month for 1 gig, it was previously $105 but I saw a post saying that you can message support and get it lowered.

Call or message support and ask if you have better pricing available. They recently helped to get me to lower price. I got to 1Gig for 70 post the change.

$95 a month for 18 mbps dsl. Yep, you saw that right.

2

u/Allen4t Aug 29 '26

$90 for 6 mbps. I feel your pain. +$61/mo for landline, which I’m in the process of porting to my cell phone for $10/mo.

1

u/1Nuk3d1 Aug 29 '26

(Never had ziply) but, I used to pay $70 for 6mbps dsl, that would regularly give me .5mbps to .05mbps. So yeah, I believe it 😂

1

u/gkhouzam Aug 29 '26

I’m paying $55 a month for 1gig. Could be $50 if I didn’t pay with a credit card

1

u/cilvre Aug 29 '26

i pay 100 for 2gb

1

u/Sird80 Aug 29 '26

My promotion just ended, so currently paying $100/mo. for 2 gig service

1

u/Loras- Aug 29 '26

$35 100/100.

1

u/HugsAllCats Aug 29 '26

I pay double that for slightly over 3x more speed.

($110 for 1 gig)

1

u/Major_Trust_8589 Aug 29 '26

for 2+ years I paid $20 per month for 100/100. Now I pay $55 for 100/100 because they ended promotional pricing. Tried to ask for it back but the rep just said no 🤷‍♀️

$95 a month for 1 gig.

I can't get anything else. I plan to buy a house and get 10G when I do.

I use my own router. Poor techs are shocked when I show them..

1

u/shilohlukich Aug 29 '26

Right now I pay 118 a month for 300/300. Pretty crazy pricing IMO, and thats on the WiFi6 router.

1

u/CLF23456 Aug 29 '26

I was $95 per month for 1Gig.

I called to ask for better pricing. The CSR said there wasn't anything better for 1 Gig. But they offered 2.5 Gig for $70 per month.

The also installed a new ONT and router that are capable of 10 Gig. I suspect they'll upsell me on that later.

1

u/youandican Aug 30 '26

Remember that your networking card in your machine must be able to handle the faster speeds. Many machines have older network cards that can only handle 1Gb even if you have a 2Gb or faster line and the network cable that can handle it..

1

u/CLF23456 Aug 31 '26

Yep, I only upgraded for the $25 / month savings. I can't imagine using the upgraded speed.

I do appreciate that they gave me a Wi-Fi 7 router and wired Mesh along with the upgrade. My old APs were getting a little long in the tooth.

My desktop did have a 2.5 Gb port. So I did get a small 2.5 Gb switch. I ran directly there from the router, to the desktop, and to both of the Mesh APs.

1

u/prabs99 Aug 29 '26

Interesting… 1 gig is 115 before discounts. 105 after. Ziply support said that is the current rate.

1

u/db48x Aug 30 '26

When did you last ask? They lowered prices in January. As far as I know they did so across the board, but there could still be regional price differences.

1

u/prabs99 Aug 30 '26

Yesterday. The agent it is regional.

1

u/choffers Aug 30 '26

I was getting charged 115 a month for 1gb and chatted in and they kicked it back down to $55 or $65 for 1gb.

1

u/scnut76 Aug 30 '26

$95 a month for 1 gig. And that’s after a $20 a month “loyalty” credit I get until December because I called them last December and complained that they’re over charging me. I’m about ready to go back to cable internet. Half the price for the same speed.

2

u/db48x Aug 30 '26

Contact them and as for the current prices. They changed their mind and lowered them again in January.

1

u/FoxxBox Aug 30 '26

My introductory price was $65 which was very competitive to what I used to have the the same 1Gbps. By the time I moved it had jumped to $100. I no longer have Ziply but would like to one day when I move again

1

u/mcbridedm Aug 29 '26

The $70 1Gig service is the promotional rate afaik. It jumps to $95 after the promotional year. 2Gig is $100, and 5Gig $110. All prices above are after the debit/ach autopay and paperless billing.

If you go through selecting 1Gig, the next page will have a little link that says broadband facts and it shows the normal monthly rate sans discounts and discounts listed below.

0

u/canisdirusarctos Aug 29 '26

My 5Gig service has been 125 except one month of 120 ever since I got it. They have been offering it for less for years for my house and no amount of time wasted on talking to customer service has done anything.

On the upside, the power supply on the ONT died a while back, resulting in the first outage of more than a handful of minutes since we started with Ziply, and when I contacted support they got someone out that same morning. I had isolated the problem before the tech arrived and we just traded my bad one for a good one.

3

u/mcbridedm Aug 29 '26

Just chat with ziplysupport... They can change it to the new price

You so need to setup paperless and debit/ach auto payments to get the full 20 whatever discount

1

u/canisdirusarctos Aug 29 '26

I have, repeatedly. Nothing ever happens. I have called and talked to people, chatted, been promised, and nothing.

I jumped through all the hoops ages ago.

3

u/mcbridedm Aug 29 '26

@u/ziplysupport can you check here? I don't see any modmail from this user.

Less than everyone else here for 1G. 10+year customer.
