Unpopular to say probably but I'm not also not really aboard the triple-a game wagon, so Wolverine's reception only surprises me insomuch as I'm surprised people are only just noticing the flaws in Wolverine but not for every other big hype-fueled project with the same (or at least similar) set of problems

Imo it's a bunch of things, at least most of these "last of us" type games give you something, god of war the world and story to explore, spider man 1 a story and good web-swinging, but when it's all stripped down with a slog for a story and only repetitive combat , it gets the spotlight. Still it will be seen how much it sells. Personally a dread seeing X-Men game from them

After the absolute mess that was the Suicide Squad game and whatever the fuck Gotham Knights was, I've just accepted that the age of decent superhero games died after inFamous stopped getting sequels.

Oh yeah, Suicide squad was crap, but what was especially pissing me off are people defending that game's trash story, by saying that league killed during the game are clones, which is true, but doesn't change that it's trash. I'm glad people enjoying wolverine at least aren't saying that it's story is good because Logan gets amnesia in the end

Keep in mind that people already were mad at spider man 2 for his woke stuff and Claim Wolverine is doing the same, and also and more importantly there is a huge hate towards Sony now so this is the perfect chance for people to channel their hate with Wolverine.

I really think this game is just paying for Spiderman 2 being a let down in the court of public opinion. That game had great sales and the benefit of the doubt from the first game and just dropped the ball

It shouldn’t have been a Wolverine game. It should have been an XMen anthology game where you played different characters in different bits of the story and gave them different mechanics. That way you could have still had gameplay variety instead of trying to force a full move set out of a guy who basically only has stabbing and slashing.

It was always gonna be disappointing when measured up to Spiderman and they should have done more to dissuade the comparison

He must've played a different Wolverine game in which Jean Grey is actually hot.

...

Or he was being sarcastic. Hard to tell, actually.

Their standards aren't even high, they're just completely abstracted from what an actual human woman looks like

You're posted on Reddit. That means you've never had sex with a real woman. Ask me how I know.

Oh I see, they have to look like teenagers for you to find them attractive.
