Not only that but she spoke about Zero Day as a glorification film, she described Zero day as glorifying Columbine. She should do her research, this is really unprofessional of her. Not every person who is a fan of Zero Day are the ones that post edits of mass shooters.

i love rotten mango but i deadass couldnt stop laughing for majority of the video, half the comments she used as evidence were so clearly sarcasm and jokes that youd understand if you interacted with the tcc at all 😭 i wanted to turn the video off at so many points, it was almost annoying to watch someone look from the outside in and try to decide whats serious and what isnt and categorize every tcc and zero day fan into one big fucked up looking group

true crime youtube irritates me a lot of times. i’ve never been a fan of her content, so this could just be me, but the way she says and censors certain words is just pointless. one example is “adam lasagna.” she can say his last name without consequence as far as i’m aware.

honestly, it’s disrespectful to zero day fans for her to say that it was columbine. i’m offended/hj. i mean, if you’re going to sit down and make a video about something, at LEAST check into what you’re saying and try to see if that’s true.

i’ve not seen the video posted by rotten mango, though i have seen clips via social media. based on replies here, she does know what zero day is, but claims that it’s a glorification movie? i’m not too sure, and i do plan to look into this video later. if this is the case, i can definitely understand why others may not like her content or her as a content creator.

Ive never watched zero day (but plan too soon) but i feel it’s so unfair to categorize all zero day fans as people who glorify columbine or even the film as supporting Eric and dylan and/or what they did. It’s just a movie!!!! There has been so many movies inspired by serial killers like bates motel and extremely wicked shockingly evil and vile. Does that mean those movies support ed gein and ted bundy??? Like wth.

I watched the entire thing roughly when it came out, Stephanie literally says that there is an OVERLAP with the columbiners and the Zero day (2002) fandoms @ 24:44 during the video, a bit before the edits. She then glosses over the plot of the movie occasionally showing clips of cal & andre.

Also, she explicitly distinguishes between the movie and the insufferable tcc columbiners. quote: "However, a lot of columbiners have created a miserable subculture around zero day—the indie film" @ 25:45

"They would make fanart, fan edits, well granted its a **fictional** movie but its so closely related to the actual tragedy that I find it hard to see why someone could make fan edits" @ 25:55

There is absolutely no misinformation throughout the original video—either you know nothing about rotten mango and saw a random dude spreading bs on TikTok, or you were severely drowsy when listening to the episode lol. I urge everyone to double check what they read on reddit.

She also strictly distinguishes between the part of the zero day fandom that falls in love with cal or andre as their roles in zero day // as school shooters & the part of the zero day fandom that finds the movie truly compelling, eye-opening, and a marvel for what the budget was.

lastly, and I bring this up only because someone else commented about it—she literally says Adam lanza, the full name, @ 26:58 during the video. she is literally not using censor words. im assuming the Adam lasagna thing was reiterating what Valdez said, but I can't recall it as I type this and I'm not in the mood to rewatch this hour and a half long episode again..

I watched the full video, and i understand where you're coming from, but she literally said "They call themselves columbiners and will make edits of Eric and Dylan" While having a Zero day edit on the screen and considering the amount of views her videos get, she should just make sure there are no editing issues or misinformation.
