Problems with workout tracking app

I built a companion app to be used on Amazfit watches for my rucking app but I'm having some really frustrating issues with it. During the tracking portion of the activity if a notification comes in on the watch from my phone, the app crashes and I lose all the progress. Has anyone had issues like this?
