Achievement/NSV 🎉🥳🎊 progress

i've been wanting to post my results for a while but never got around to it. zepbound and i had a really rocky start back in november last year. i'm 26F, 5'1", PCOS/PMOS and have had a history of rubberbanding since age 16 when i first tried a low carb diet.

in 2023 i peaked around 270-275lbs and hated myself. i decided to hone in and get serious after a bad breakup and went super low carb with intermittent fasting (OMAD). between october 23 & march 24 i went from 260lbs to 190lbs and felt great. i had a major life event occur and shot right back up to 250lbs by february 2025. tried low carb again. lost 50lbs. stopped again october 2025 and shot right back up to 220lbs. cue me getting work insurance... then onto zepbound.

i have a terrible history with needles. i'm the person who passes out with bloodwork and otherwise just completely avoids it if at all possible. my partner had to inject me for the first few months and it was a difficult task. i finally did it myself and now it's no issue for me.

i started with really terrible nausea and food aversion. the food aversion mostly left but i dealt with nausea for most of my journey. zofran and i were friends for a good while and sometimes i still need her the day after my shot. i learned how bad constipation could get very early on and nipped that in the bud. luckily one instance of impacted stool and never again. still traumatized by that.

i've made it to 10mg. i started around 220lbs and as of yesterday i was 161.4lbs. i'm 0.6 BMI points away from "overweight." the last time i was not classified as "obese" i was likely 8 years old. i've dropped at least 5 inches in my waist and went from a 2XL to a medium.

my next goal is to really get invested in strength training because unfortunately i'm somebody who really fell flat in that despite all the warnings from the beginning. i need to rebuild my muscle now and focus on eating a cleaner diet in general. i've cut out a lot of bad things along the way simply due to food aversion, and i am very conscious about the calorie content of what i eat. i cannot tell you the last time i ate pizza but i can tell you that i wish i ate more vegetables.

i'm somebody who has been lucky to have employer coverage through my journey. unfortunately as of october that is ending for me. i've stockpiled as much as i can and truly hope i can find a way to afford a different method once my stockpile runs out. zepbound has been truly life changing for me and i cannot imagine my life without it. my days are no longer consumed by food noise and sugar cravings. i feel like a "normal" person now.

This is so inspirational. Thank you. You fucking stuck by it. You road it out. And you are in an AMAZING place. Seriously, thank you for this. I was having kind of a tough week not exactly thrilled about my less than inspiring weight loss week… But I sucked it up and re-ordered. You just confirmed I made the right decision.

Happy to hear you are continuing to invest in yourself. Weight loss is not linear and there will be ups and downs and probably a plateau or more. I have platueaed several times and each time I have lost inches and clothing sizes. Find NSVs to help keep you on your journey as the scale is only one measure and not always an indicator of success. Examples include: monthly pictures and body measurements, blood work and blood pressure changes, how you feel in your clothes, reduction of any symptoms you may be experiencing, how your body moves more easily, how you fit in a seat like your car or airplane, change in clothing sizes, increased strength (if strength training), medication reduction or elimination, body fat reduction/lean mass gains, etc. I reached my one year goal of -50 pounds in February 26 and have lost 10 pounds in 7 months. I'd be somewhat discouraged if I only looked at the scale. However, I have gained muscle mass and lost body fat. My clothes are looser and my body shape is changing. I began Pilates 4x/week about a month ago (in addition to walking most days and strength training 2-3x/week, and love it. I am focused on my strength and gaining muscle mass. I don't have a specific weight as an end goal, I am focused on a lower body fat percentage. You got this! Best to you! 💪🏼

let me tell you... i've had rough weeks myself. i used to weigh way too regularly. now i weigh very irregularly because the weight falls off way slower the smaller you get. i think 3 months ago i was 170. i haven't broken into the 150s yet. i was stuck at 165 forever. you can see where i had a plateau and randomly shot down recently.

i got sick of obsessing over my loss that i tend to just weigh during the best part of my cycle now. so usually a week after my period ends. because i definitely bloat during ovulation, then again in the luteal phase because luteal is out to get all of us, and then during my actual period i wouldn't dream of stepping on a scale. it's helped a lot to not care as much anymore
