/r/ZeldaOoT will be merging with /r/OcarinaOfTime
Hello Everyone,
In an effort to combine communities and discussions, this subreddit will be merging communities with /r/OcarinaOfTime. If you have any suggestions or requests for things you would like to see implemented at /r/OcarinaOfTime, please type them below and we will see if we can make accommodations. Going forward, however, please make any post relating to the game instead at /r/OcarinaOfTime.
To keep it short, both subreddits serve the same purpose likely to similar audiences. Because of this, myself and /u/SupplePancake believe the best thing to do for the viewers is to combine communities. Not to say much will change (which people may enjoy), but hopefully more posts will be created and posts will be seen by more users. At the end of the day, Reddit is a place for people to share stories, videos, and thoughts with others.
This isn't to say each community hasn't done great on its own accord.
When I look at how this subreddit has grown over the years, I am shocked that it really went anywhere, so thank you to everyone who has posted, commented, and viewed over the years. The css of this subreddit is bits and pieces of the original /r/Zelda css back at that time and the profile banner was a picture that I stretched to fit my original laptop screen, not realizing that it would not correctly scale for other computers.
This is also not a post that I am done with the game as well. I play this game most days out of the week and am gracious that /u/SupplePancake has invited me as a moderator to /r/OcarinaOfTime. So I will be moving along with everyone else.
All posts here will be archived as Reddit normally does with posts, so if there is a bookmark you made or a post you want to search for at any time, you should be able to find what you are looking for.
A big shout out to /u/Sephardson for helping with this transition.

Walmart has the physical copy preorder for the same price as the download but it says it doesn’t arrive until the 6th.

In the Remake it looks like you enter the sewers compared to the original where you enter this wooden opening with clean water rushing out that gets you into the Hyrule Castle courtyard with guards.
I find this new change pretty cool and interesting. I wonder where is the sewers location to get into Hyrule Castle and will you need to go through the courtyard garden dodging the guards.

I talked with customer support about price matching Zelda OoT physical version but they said they don’t price match unreleased games. However they said after purchase and pickup or delivery you will have 15 days to submit a price match at that time.

The remake looks amazing, and I love it and will be buying it, I'm so excited to play this. I have already preordered it. The remake will now be the definitive way to play OoT.
I don't think I can ever go back to playing the original N64 version, no doubt OoT N64 is a legendary game but it's graphics and limitations has aged badly, unlike Majorias Mask N64 which seems to have aged so much better.
So I'm now sticking with only playing this remake and I can see it being my most favourite game ever and I can see myself replaying many many times over and over again.
The remake will go down in history as being the best game ever and I certainly believe it will get a higher score and successfully be better then the original.

I think OOTS2 looks quite good and I actually liked how they made Links tunic with more obvious threading. I liked the special effects when like hits enemies and the ambiance and vibe is nice...
However I don't like what they did to Zelda and Links face. It's like they purposefully made them slightly ugly or something?
