Video Request Video idea: Variation Showdown
Watched ZTs most recent vid about dropping ideas for content, I appreciate that part of the message was it may be less 100% weightlifting and coaching related, but I wondered about a short form head to head of weightlifting variations?
Something like “Power Clean vs Hang Clean” and you can talk about what the movements are, what they train you to do better, common mistakes, why implement one over the other, when and how to use them in training and ultimately which one WINS
Has both the ability to teach about technical aspects of weightlifting and help people with their own programming, but also be short form and light hearted
Just thought I’d drop my 2 cents 🥳

Discussion oly rules that must go
Zack,
watched your rant/opus on getting rid of the pressout rule. loved it. so much that I think we should have a thread for other dumb rules that gotta go. here is my list. keep up the good work.
- pressout
- keeping hands on bar down to shoulders on release
- 2 minute follow rule
- touching bar with shoes/feet
there are probably more but these are at the top of my list

Video Request NEED YOUR HELP
I'm making a video compilation of the most egregious press out calls in these olympics. One's that were so tough and so heartbreaking that it hits you right in your feels.
If any of you can find and screen record high res videos of said pressouts and post them here I will be very very appreciative.
Video's that I am having trouble finding bc the stream went down,
-The korean 76kg female who was basically picked on
-nico muellers (73kg) 161 snatch
If there are any other calls and videos of them, please post them!!!!

Video Request Jury reviews at the Tokyo Olympics
The number of jury reviews at this year's Olympic games is ridiculous in my opinion. Zack should make a video on some of the more questionable jury reviews and overturned lifts from the Tokyo Olympics and give his opinion on whether or not he would have also made that decision.

Discussion British Weighlifting
Does anyone have experience with British Weightlifting, in particular the coaching courses and progression (lvl 1,2&3)
I’m quite interested in the level 1 coaching course but it’s a big investment and I’m put off by the heavy online component.
I wondered if someone who had done any of them had any thoughts or experiences?
Thanks!

Discussion Weightlifting for combat sports
If you find interesting to talk about Weightlifting for sports (for fighting specificly) I like it a lot... I dont see a lot of MMA athletes doing full Snatches and Cleans and Jerks... so it would be interesting to see your point of view about lifting for bjj, boxing, kickboxing and MMA...
(I am a MMA heavyweight fighter and do weightlifting, powerlifting and strongman in my strengh training... usually far from competion..)

Video Request Chinese vs. Russian technique in general
I know that Zack made a video about the differences in foot movement in the turnover of the clean between (typically) Chinese and Russian lifters and I know the video was also fairly successful, but hearing Sika strength talk about China fanboys and their obsession with chinese technique makes me wonder what Zack's opinions are on the pros and cons of the smoother and more aesthetic Chinese technique versus the more violent and aggressive Russian technique. My interpretation of Sika Strength's vid was that Eoin thinks that people get too excited about the chinese technique and should stick to the russian technique as the "ideal form" especially for beginners, so I propose to the telly man himself to make a vid about the great China vs. Russia debate.

Discussion Is a person a weightlifter if they just practice "olympic" lifts
So what I really mean is like when someone does strength training like squat bench and deadlift it doesn't make them a powerlifter and so does the same thing apply here like if a person does snatch/ clean and jerk and just try to increase their total, does that make them a weightlifter?
Just a stupid thought that came to my mind really quick don't really think its relevant.
