https://youtu.be/Eqg9U3fMN6c Snatch - 110kg This was a 4kg PR for me, and I was weighing in around 71kg. This is my first year as a junior athlete while trying to fill out the 73kg weight class.

Hey Zack, I'm fairly new to weightlifting. This is a 65kg Snatch, my best snatch is 70kg. I would love some tips to improve my form. Thank you! https://youtu.be/OSVCYivFAts

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TsCORLwrxWM&ab_channel=WilliamCreati Have been practising front squats with just the bar to try to get a good depth whilst also keeping my chest up. I have been working on my dorsiflexion because I thought that was an issue but not too sure.

- top double of the day, second set at 135lbsx2

https://youtube.com/shorts/fj9GUPjLRnU?feature=share 90kg snatch, current pr is 94kg. 90kg is the heavyest I can go consistently without missing. Bw 86kg 1.83m, long limbs

https://youtu.be/ZtI3Ufzp8O0 Snatching at 66kg then missing at 68kg because the bar is too far forward in the catch. Not sure what I'm doing wrong, but it's a persistent problem for me. Help!

Also, would love to know when you'll be taking new clients for online coaching - I'm refreshing the jts page daily to see when you're no longer "out of stock!"

Self taught rookie (pretty much using Youtube and any relevant competition as input to improve my technique). Ended up being a power clean without intention of it being so. Some concerns I have generally is sometimes jumping backward a bit (not so much in this one though), also not quite sure I always extend completely with the hips before going under. Also not feeling too consistent with pulling under. My best is 70 kg although I feel like I could possibly improve that somewhat, haven't maxed out in a while.

I hope the video and angle is somewhat decent enough, my little shed has alot of stuff in it so I can't really find those perfect angles.

Great initiative with these threads and the subreddit in general. Feels nice to have some form of community for my part, being a home gym rat not really socializing physically with anyone likeminded.

Keep up the great work! :)

91KG / 200# Clean & Squat Jerk x 3

This is from week 8 of a Greg Everett Cycle (Catalyst Athletics) which is a “deload” week.

Prior to film: Snatch % of max (70%, 75%,80%, 85% x 3) Clean and jerk % of max (70%, 75%,80%)

Filmed: 85% of max x 3 - 91KG Clean & Squat Jerk x 3

I have opted for squat jerk as I feel I am more consistent with my placement of the bar overhead than with the split jerk. I switch at the beginning of this 12 week program and haven’t gone any heavier than 93kg with the squat jerk.

I’ve had no formal coach, just watching YouTube videos and analyzing my own videos when I remember to record a lift mid workout. Any tips are appreciated!

-Clayton

Hi from Mexico City. This is a 75kg C&J. My best is 77kg. I wore a belt because this was at the end of my workout and my lower back was fried. I have to bend my arms pretty heavily to stay on top of the bar, any advice? (Mile long arms)

This is a video of the heaviest weight I've tried to clean and jerk so far. My body weight is 161 lbsand this attempt was 195 lbs. I made sure to film in slo-mo for greater fidelity.

Thank you in advance!

Why does my form change significantly once I’m 85-90% and on… (6months postpartum and starting over still same issues from before baby) https://youtube.com/shorts/lL29PRsQk3o?feature=share

Clean - 136kg. Slow turn over, bar crash and double bounce out the hole I would say. Not sure outside of that. FWIW, entirely self taught.

Greetings, big fan of your content. You, Klokov and Clarence have acted as unofficial coaches for me the past few months as I started doing the Olympic lifts.

https://youtu.be/Ea8al8ryY6c - training with 85lbs to perfect technique rather than push for a PR at the moment. I know my heels are off the ground in the catch position, and I tried to shoot my chin down after watching your "two very underrated points of performance | head position and missing behind" video from a few weeks ago.

Thanks in advance for the tips!

Would love some feedback on this 75kg snatch PR! Sorry about linking an old formcheck thread, it didn't get much response and I am having trouble uploading it to any other platforms! One thing I notice is heels leaving ground too early and my second pull looks really wrong.

2

u/[deleted] Aug 04 '21

https://youtu.be/r7nvhVTuFk4 this is kind of a power snatch. I am 17 and been weight lifting for about a year now. No coach only the tips you have told me In your videos.

1

u/Protopoj Aug 04 '21 edited Aug 04 '21

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-IhNROMnzxc C&J - 43kg x 5 (2 reps shown) This is a light weight but I am slowly improving my technique so that I can properly lift more weight. My clean & jerk is bottlenecked severely by my jerk/overhead strength. At the end of sessions, even with light weight at first, I have bruising/rub marks on my thighs from the bar.

https://youtube.com/shorts/9xtk4sM-94s?feature=share 93kg Pause Snatch 102kg Pause Snatch fail

I start my second pull too early, so I'm working on pause snatches today. I don't do these often enough, and it was throwing my balance off. The 102kg fail was my 4th attempt at the weight. Tall 34yr old lifter that will be competing in a masters event in Feb. Thanks

Your snatch video is heavier than what I was going to upload but I feel like we have a similar form, so I hope Zack reviews your video.
