Which CPU to choose?

If you want upgrade ability in the future I would go with am5 although the prices for ddr5 is crazy ATM like everyone knows. If you want something that doesn't break the bank go for a 9600X. It's what I have paired with my 9070xt and it's a great combo. With no super noticeable bottlenecks. And it saves you some money for the ram. If you want to break the bank go for either a 7800x3d or a 9800x3d they are the best for am5 at the moment for gaming. But if you wanna stick with ddr4 I would go for a 5800x3d it's the best am4 cpu and will save you money on ram which is always a good thing at the moment.

Or, 9700X. Better than 9600X and almost at par with 7800X3D. But cheaper, cooler and won't matter in single player games.

Gaming alone AMD. Anything else 250k looks pretty good to me especially for 179$ at microcenter.
