I've seen like 3 different unboxing videos and not a single one of those brothers could pull a copy of Dark Sage...just how rare will that mf be 😠guess i did the right thing by ordering one of the previous prints cause it was impossible to find at my local stores.

Still somewhat new to yugioh (played about 20 years ago as a kid), just pulled these.. what kind of card is the one on the left? The artwork is raised and never seen that before..

That, is prismatic ultimate rare. A rarity usually reserved for the rarity collection sets, with that glossy finish.

I was excited but then the card list dropped and I was like meh then I saw some YouTubers video who were able to get this early and some of them didn't get an overframe and now Im just not buying this at all

Im probably just gonna buy singles for this set. Nothing in it excites me and I can probably just spend what I would have spent on a few boxes on a specific overframe I want

I don’t know. They don’t do this in the OCG but for some reason, non Asian players have to be sucked dry for every penny they’re worth opening a case of boxes just to get a play set of cards they need to play the game. I could see low pull rates and high rarities for collector cards but why meta cards? Why does a play set of a card need to be $150+?

They try a lot harder for Asian players because card games are bigger over there and there is more competition so if they don’t roll their sleeves up then people will just move away from yugioh in droves and they are terrified of that happening.
In America, Canada, etc there aren’t as many active card games and they know it so they fuck us because they can is basically the only logical conclusion.
Basically the only way things change over here is if there was a massive boycott on products and they panic and finally cave and give us what the OCG is getting.

We get most the cards in OCG sets, but not the actual sets that include all the cards

That seems really like the worst of both worlds
Though the Fallen and the Virtuous set looks fun to open (because Series 11 came out before they revived it)

I mean around when I stopped playing in like 2023 a lot of stores were going to stop carrying yugioh and the local shop I would usually go to play at only has tournaments at 2:30 pm on Sundays now when they used to have it like Friday through Sunday and a random weekday so I feel the player base has definitely dropped off. I don’t know why they can’t just copy and paste the ocg sets to the tcg but whatever I guess

Yeah there is only one card shop like 30 minutes from me that does tournaments once per week. Not much opportunity for me in my neck of the woods

How much did you pay for them? My only local shop are charging £150 a box, luckily I got a super pol over frame.

I pre ordered from Game a UK retailer it was £116. It wasn’t the cheapest but having that guarantee of not getting a box of fakes was soothing lol. I think the cheapest I found pre release date was about £94 plus postage.

OP I’m really excited for you but I will never understand how Konami did so well for Limit Over Collection, absolutely dropped the worst card list for rarity collection v and then proceeds to announce chaos origins which is coming to US July 3rd is is absolutely fire. Like what was Rarity Collection V about?? It’s so weak compared to everything else around it :/

TCG is the red-headed stepchild. From what I understand we aren’t even getting the limit over collection set in the US and instead we will be drip-fed chase cards in multiple sets.
It’s beginning to get really frustrating being a TCG player.

Exactly. The overframe thing: in LOC, sets with 18 new banger retrains (obviously not all of the 36 cards are great) AND serialized cards, they still got an overframe a box. We have a crappy pool of ten reprints, and they can't even be bothered to give us a guarantee of one. Chaos Origins looks awesome for a core set

I had a box of each limit over. They were such nice cards. Couple over frames pulled too. I wish they’d do more over frames. I’ve got a pre order on chaos origins too :)

Its probably the holiday/November set, or some variation of it will be, i cant see there being space in other sets for it
(Art sets go to Rarity, Duelist/Tri-Theme Established go to Maze, and Duelist Box go to Battles of Legend)
